Maine's a big place, and I'm up north (central) in a pretty rural area. I'm not necessarily looking for face-to-face, just some sort of connection and idea of who's here. Any gender, any age, for now. Just talk to me. 🙂

Well, Hello. I do not live in Maine. However, I do work in Maine. I live in NH. Across the border from the Sanford, ME area. I am always looking for honest and intelligent conversations and discussions. To be honest, I have not had much success. Me? Male, early 70's. Check my recently updated profile. Recently updated because I never really filled in any of the boxes and spaces when I joined. I have read a fair amount of your comments and posts. Seems like we might have some sort of connection. Thanks for you query and your consideration.

So are you in the Farmington area, then? That's about 3¼ hours from me— so not much likelihood of meeting in person. I'm happy to chat whenever I'm online, though.

(Point of interest if you're into history: my family was one of the first families to settle Sandwich, NH)

I'm actually in Barrington, just south of Rochester, so that would add another 20 minutes.:( Distance seems to usually get in the way. But good conversation is always worth the time and effort. Too bad that your afternoon down by the river didn't work out as expected. Maybe next time.
Love history. Great family history to have. My deceased wife's family was the second family to homestead to Butterfield Plantation, now Sumner ME. She was a seasoned genealogist. Her family arrived on the 2nd Mayflower voyage.

My favorite period of history is the Colonial Period. The New England area is rich in that history. It's nice to be connected, thru family, to that history. I love living in New England because of it's age and everything that comes with that. Also, this were this country started. And I think that is a cool thing.
Let me know if you would like to chat when you are on line. I am usually around and have the time.
Thanks
