This game simply rocks.

My roommate got it for his Dreamcast, along with the maracas controllers, and the very concept is so simple yet fun its incredible. You just shake you maracas to the beat of the songs in one of six positions (high, middle and low for each hand). Some of the positioning-s for the songs are amazing (you'll be shaking those maracas everywhere, it seems), and the idea that you're doing more than simply tapping buttons just makes this game so much fun!

Sorry to rant, but I can't get over it.

I'm just wondering if anyone else on the boards has ever played this game, and what their impressions are.

Never played the game but I do love looking at maracas. Ladies? Will you take pics of your maracas and send em to me?

No takers then?

Oh well, I guess not everyone can be up on what an addictive game this is. Or heck, maybe I'm too easily amused.

Either way, just toss me those maracas and I'll be shaking the night away...!

('Take On Me' starts playing, begin shaking imaginary maracas to the beat...)

YES!!!!!!!!

I fucking :p LOVE:p that game!!! If you like that one - try "Dance Dance Revolution" -- better yet -- try Samba after a few martinis ...

We're going to, it seems. Since they only sell a Japanese version for the Dreamcast, he plans to buy the import and Dreamcast pad, and buy a GameShark to access the import game. Hokey, but it should work. He's played it in the arcades - had a blast.

Still can't seem to get an 'A' ranking on "Take On Me" in Hard Mode (Challenge #5 of Maracas Expert). I get an A all the way through the second 'mass-shaking' part, but when those single patterns fly at the end, I can never catch up to them, and at best I up with a mid-B.

This after I scored 481,000 points on "La Bamba".

And yes, this makes for an awesome drinking game. :) Hmmm.... maybe strip Samba...?

Now, if you don't mind, I gotta shake a bit more. :p
