I just responded to someone in the comments section of my own work and the comment went through immediately! No review process for authors in their own comments sections now?

It's been doing that for a while, although it doesn't happen every time. I notice my comments are posted almost instantly.

It is selective. The comments I make on my own stories can take up to 24 hours to be posted.

Sometimes they pop in right away, sometimes a while later.
It seems to be related to how active I've been. I'm guessing my "likely to be approved' rating goes up the more recently and often I've been approved, and if it gets to a certain point I get auto-approved. But then the 'rating' decays quickly over time if I go innactive.
- That's a guess. But it's the pattern I've seen. It could be nothing more than a moderator being online the moment I click the button and recognizing my name from having recently looked at it in something else.
