i am unable to pm you as i have been logged out again. it seems every time i get booted off the net [every two hours over here in britland] doesnt recognise my password either , which was automatic i changed the password and i have no idea which one it recognises now

The only screwy thing happening with me is I'll reply logged in as me, but between hitting the submit reply button and being automatically redirected to my post, my name is lost, somehow. My replies come up as unregistered... but only half the time! I've signed in under the control panel, and everything looks fine, but i just tried to respond in the lit couples thread, and came up twice as unregistered.

Other than that, everything is going swimmingly! *G* I'm going to be patient, because I know it'll get fixed. Just wanted to whine for a minute, lol. Anyone have any cheese?

Do you have your cookies turned on or off in your control panel? It sounds like a cookies issue, but I'm not sure.

I just want to know all the pitfalls of upgrading so I don't have to reinvent the wheel.

Hi Guru!

It will probably work perfectly for you. We are cursed when it comes to hardware and software!

The one thing that seems strange, that I didn't really expect, is the few people who have said that their cookies are timing out after the upgrade. Not sure why that would change after this upgrade.

If you have any Guru advice after upgrading yours, please feel free to let me know!

I type my new title in it tells me and check the 'reset' box next to it. When I tell it to submit modifications, I get the "Thank you for updating your profile" message. Then when I check, it still says Literotica Guru. It used to be 'Da Good Bitch of the West', then I changed it to 'Caramel Colored Candy'. Now I want to change it back to 'Good Bitch of the West' and it won't let me. Just so you know...when I changed my title before, I had to do it twice before it took. I've tried twice already today coupled with the five times yesterday.

It should. I tried it last night and checking the reset button while I changed my title set it back to the Forum default for my post totals. Unchecking it and doing it again allowed me to check it back.

If I remember correctly, the first time I changed my title after the board upgrade to this new version I was doing the same thing until I realized -reset- was probably cancelling out my entry and not allowing me to change it.

Well, hell. Something's wrong here, and i've tried everything. My cookies are set okay, but I keep coming up as unregistered every time i try to post a reply. And to top it all off, I can't log in on the member page - the same log in page pops up every time I try. I tried using a fake password, and got the notice (correctly) that either my user name or password was wrong. But whenever I type in the correct password, it just takes me to a new log in page. Help!

(just in case I come up unregistered, this is eve_of_destruction@literotica.org ...and the email feature is working fine, BTW)

Okay...phew!!
After so many of you have had problems wioth coming up as "unregistered", I had to try this out...
yesterday, I had my turn at being "unregistered" again.

Being new, I was like..."oh no what did I do wrong"?...lol.

I am soo glad this is a sticky, it really helped.
