Nah. From my being here, every single time there's talk of Lit cliques, DCL's name gets dropped as being either the head of, or the founding member of the "Cool Kids Clique" here. Actually, that couldn't be farther from the truth. He's "in", but only in the sense that at some point, most folks find him to be eriudite, witty, and a generally pleasant conversationalist who can speak on a great number of topics.

I'm guessing that he's anticipating the tired accusation that's surely going to come his way.

I felt caught up in a so-called "clique" a while back. When one of them gets pissed, they all do. I had enough of that shit and just decided to go out "on my own" in the big bad world of Lit. I have pals, but I don't have a set group of people I hang out with on threads.
