anybody writing?

Writing? What's that?

I tried working on a story this morning, but it didn't go anywhere...

just wondering.

i am.

its a process, isn't it?
I have the thoughts in my head but not interested in writing them down. I get this way every now and then. I keep telling myself that I'm not enjoying it like I once did. As I mentioned in another thread, only time will tell which way I lean.

The best to you and your writing.

In my case it's a process of elimination.

I'll bat out a few thou words in a thought stream, then go back and winnow the wheat from the chaff. Usually there's less than half the words left, but those are the ones that work. Much as a sculptor can visualize the subject in a block of marble and remove the excess. ;)

i see a poker game and a dare......go for it

Wait, what? No, don't answer that. I don't htink I understand english too well right now. I need sleep.

And I just wrote a stroy last month or something. So I'm doing better than I was last year, and the year before, and so on...

Whereas I take the pieces of marble and stick it all together . . . ;)

Writing? Yep, another story for an anthology to be named Spy Candy.

I'm working on a story about Wizards and Amazons. almost finished but having a hard time keeping them from jumping each others bones, which makes the story loonger!

I hate Shagging Dog stories.

That's something I can't seem to do.

man. I have a co-writer who bats out the words and then waits for me to do the winnowing. I asked her to please begin self-editing just a tad before she sends to me....

And I told her that no one is allowed to blink at anyone else more than once a chapter. :D

yes i am. the nude day contest spurred me into life. my goal this year is to submit 5 stories to lit for christmas! I just wrote Daphne's Birthday, because someone requested it. (out of my norm for writing)

it's just 95 days until nanowrimo! YAY:eek::D

Yeah, and I don't have a clue what to write this year yet.

After weeks, or perhaps months of nothing, I'm suddenly swamped, roughing out a new idea every friggin' day. I lost 3 days out of the last seven to writing, running on 4 hours of sleep last night, 2 hours a couple of nights ago.

I need my RL back (right after I rough out yet another idea.)

Was there ever a consensus reached on contest entries? As in how many is too many from one author? I accidentally went from zero to four for the Summer Lovin' Contest, but I don't want to be a pig about it.
