Anybody really into Videogames?

Fable was great :) I had full assassin gear and never paid for anything. I just stole it all :) Oh and I kicked chickens for fun. And sacrificed people at the evil temple :)

I never got into KOTOR though. It just started out too slow, it seemed.

I've played through Fable a couple of times, great spell combos.

Yes, I was a vile creature who just wanted to murder all the whiny people who whimpered when I walked by. And I did.

KOTOR was great. I did start as a nice lady, but got bored fast. Started to see a potential there and began forcing everyone with my force powers to give me all their money along with the option to run away screaming or die.

Either one was fine with me.

HK47 in my party was fantastic, it's just fun to have a droid who hates humans and calls you a "meatbag"

He was a pain in the ass to use in battle, but he was pretty and said funny things, so I compensated for his weak ass.

I started on the old Atari cartridge system, hooked up to a little 13 inch black and white TV in the office at home. Then, Dad sold his insurance business to go back to school and become a teacher; and so his Apple e// (having to really remember, but was called an Apple 2e, but I think the e// was what was on the computer) came home. So, they bought me computer games for that.

Once I hit High School, I didn't play much in the way of computer or video games at all. I was too active in sports, theatre and choir. So, I missed things like Nintendo coming out, etc. I was in the dorm, my Freshman year in college when I finally played a Nintendo. I couldn't get the whole 4 arrow thing to work for moving around.

My boyfriend that year and his friends kept talking about this online game called a MUD. Also, we'd rent games from the video store and a group of like six of us would puzzle and work to solve them together in one dorm room. Finally, since I got a modem for my 19th birthday; I tried it.

I didn't play much at all at the end of college. I didn't have time. After college was over, I'd started a bit, but not much. I loved Myst and Riven, for they were a challenge. The whole kick, shoot and beat them up game didn't do it for me. In 2003, I started playing my first MMORPG, Dark Age of Camelot. It was my first time in a PvP game, and THAT was a challenge. Fighting other people was a lot more exciting than a game environment.

I quit it for awhile, tried WoW (World of Warcraft), and that bored me to tears. I have a good friend from my college MUD playing days who is the Quality Assurance Manager for City of Heros, so I've done beta testing for him, but I'm not into the whole 'super hero' game. I went to Guild Wars and did enjoy that game, and LOVED Hall of Heros. I got invites to some of the top guilds, but turned them down to stay w/ my friends who I'd come over to Guild Wars with from DAoC.

Most of us have gone back to DAoC because the PvP is like nothing else. WoW messed up in that aspect, and Guild Wars GvG (Guild vs Guild) fights get old. Guild Wars is fun for awhile in the Tombs (the PvP 'tournament' to get to the Hall), but got old once you were IN the Hall of Heroes. I've heard that Guild Wars has made some great changes, but I'm still having fun in DAoC. So, I'm not ready to leave again.

There is my online gaming 'resume'. :p Yes, I'm a geek and dork, but I have fun and I enjoy it. :)

Is anyone going to get one of the new systems?

I'm sure I will, several of them.

Not when they first come out, though. Wait for there to be really solid games to play and not just one or two with the launch and then possibly nothing for months that's decent.

Sony has the best game selection.

X-Box has great games too, but not as many.

Nintendo says "Tee Hee" too much and so they are last.

Usually that order.

I'll buy 'em used after I'm sure the games are solid.

Word on the street is Sony will have the superior hardware this time around too. They've always had the best game selection, so sounds like they might have the whole industry on lock this time around.

I'd bet on that without a problem.

They don't jerk their game developers around like Microsoft does, or cater to the same tired franchises that Nintendo does.

So my bet is they'll be our first system. Then we'll have to buy four of them because everyone has their favorite game and we're all crabby taking turns.

Then we'll expand.

I watch "X-Play" all the time on G-4 TV, so I see all the previews, they look SOOO pretty. "Okami" is the one I want a crack at first for the Playstation.

My brother has a PS2 and i play it from time to time.

i own Grand Theft Auto 3 and Vice City, and have a case on Vice City but i'm not very far along.

He also has a LOTR quest-type game that i really like. i've logged about 40 hours on that and am halfway done. i haven't played it since the summer, though - i've been too busy.

i like the games, i really do - but real life takes precendence, even if it's marking spelling tests,

I'll buy all the new ones but PS3 is first on my list. They've got the strongest RPG selection in my opinion (although xbox 360's Oblivivion looks pretty cool.)

Overall, I'm a Square-Enix girl, so I've stick with Sony.

I should be working right now but...

I LOVE video games! I love games period!

The whole reason why I got addicted to the Internet in October was in order to play role playing games online because my old crowd wasn't meeting for TT games often enough.

On my recent vacation I had a little night mare. It was horrible. Basically it went like this, my husband had gotten up to go the bathroom and tripped over some video games and consoles. He flipped out. I told him I would rearrange the room anyway he wanted. I had Atari, Intellivision, the original Nintendo and all the systems that have come after those set up in a big game room. The room also had several PC's, a pop corn machine, couches and a pool table. *le sigh* (As you know that would include miles of cables and wires.)

Anyway he let a foundation take over the room and turn it into a gift shop museum. It had a lot more room but I wasn't allowed to play anymore. I tried to be a grown up about but I kept sobbing and just couldn't accept it.

Then I woke up to the Godiva Coffee thank Gawd!

I don't have time to play much. Most of my playing now is either TT or SRP's here.

My old game systems are dead with the exception of my husbands old Commodore 64.

My kids will get all the new systems, eventually.

Right now I have quite a few people who want me to come play with them but I'm too busy to make up new characters and sink into their skin atm, wish I could!

Fury :rose:

PS Niiiiiice new av M! Bare chest is very much one of my fav things. *grins*

Well, maybe for the controller. But the Revolution is going to be quite impressive too and might even outdo Sony. However, the controller will majorly suck. You might as well make an NES controller.

Nintendo needs to go the way of SEGA and just make games. We all want to play Zelda, I just don't see why I have to buy a system just for that.
