I'm shopping for a C4, 1984-1996. I need advice.
I want a hardtop, because I want a solid feel, not a flexible ragtop. I test drove an '89 today with a 1 piece removable glass panel roof. Anybody know if these have rain leakage problems?
I'd like a 6-speed, but there are tons of automatics out there. I've been the stick shift guy for years, my last automatic was in a truck. How do the TH700R-4s hold up? Is the 6-speed worth holding out for?
The car I drove today was dropped 2 inches. It drove rougher than any other sportscar I've driven. I've owned a Fiero, an RX-7, and a Starion. Normal (non-lowered) Vettes aren't stiff, are they?
I like the snazzy multi-adjustable power seats, the ones with the built in air bladders. Are they known for problems? A bad seat can ruin the driving experience.
Got any tips? What should I be looking for? What should I avoid? Vette owners, speak up!
