I have a long, long CYOP story I want to post. The CHYOO site looks so meh compared to regular Lit. If I posted in regular Lit, will the mods move my story to CHYOO? If you've already posted on CHYOO, is it easy to navigate back and forth between scenes? I skimmed through a few stories and saw only FORWARD progression, but nothing BACKWARD like if you make a bad move and have to be penalized for it. Alternatively, if anyone knows how I can contact Support so I can ask these questions direct, because I've gone through the Lit 'contact the author' page and haven't gotten a reply that way, EVER.

I'm not sure that much of the CHYOO site is active - a random look suggests most activity stopped a decade ago. Although there are some 2022 entries, so who knows.

I doubt you'll get much of response from the site, though, because they're busy on long program of updates to the main site.

PM Laurel, would be the best bet.

They've been teasing us with a planned overhaul of interactive fiction, but if they've got as far as beta testing it, they haven't told us.

I swear I posted a story to CHYOO a long LONG time ago but I couldn't find it when I looked a couple months ago. If that wasn't a dream and I'm remembering correctly my main issue was that each "part" had to get approved and because it seeming was abandoned very quickly, it took forever to get approved. I had a whole section where there was like only two or three paragraphs before another choice. It took too long to get approved and I gave up with the whole endeavor. But I would be interested in going back, if it got going again. Updated and the submission thing was easier.

I did think how to bring that concept to Literotica, but all I could think of was having the reader do CTRL + F searches but that doesn't really work with Lit dividing things up into pages. And you'd be hated if you posted a bunch of "nonsense" chapters that were just random pages after making different choices.

After reading the above comments, I'm not seeing an easy way to do this. My story does have a few parts like Defluer mentions; shorter transitions to redirect the reader to other options. After some digging around, I found this other site:

https://chyoa.com/

The site does not seem to be Lit. Has anyone tried posting a story there?

My impression is that the stories there generally aren't well written, or are very incomplete, and the editing interface can be such a pain.

I also noticed that on CHYOO. Pretty generic stuff. I guess I'll try to PM Laurel on what the best route is, IF there is a best route. Thanks for your help!
