Any trouble submitting?

Has anyone else had trouble submitting? I have tried for the past two weeks to submit a story with no success. When I hit SUBMIT or EDIT I am taken back to the Sign In logo. If sign in again, the story is erased.

I have tried numerous times each day with no results.

I have also sent messages to Laurel, Manu, and Submit and never received a reply. Anyone else?

NO, I have had no trouble submitting but I think it has something to do with your user options. I'm not quite sure. I do hope someone comes along to tell you.

They've been having a few burps with the system lately. I submitted one last week and it just went up recently. From the new stories posted every day, I assume that some people are getting through.

However, there have been reports of people who use the forums here not being able to log in to the forum at all. They're taking to the sign in page or just flat can't log in.

They are, if I remember all of this correctly, in your part of the world.

All I can say is keep trying and if you have problems the best and most efficient way to actually get a hold of anyone who can solve them is to post a thread in the general board that has Laurel's name in the title.

Apparently the volume of email and PMs that she's been getting resembles an influx not so much as it does an alpine avalanche.

Maybe she'll buy a slave to be a secretary or something.

I've had this problem (with being sent back to the sign-in page), but not lately.

Generally, I leave myself logged-in for the site. That way, when I bink on login, I'm in, no password, etc. necessary.

But once-in-a-while, I log out (for whatever reason). Then, when I log back in, I cannot get to any other part of my login links. For example, I'm logged in, but I cannot follow the link to view my submissions. When I attemtp this, I am sent back to my login "home" page.

The work-around goes like this.

I quite my web browser, then start it up again.

After I've done that, I can login and view everything at Lit.

So, my problem is some incompatiblity with my version of Netscape and Lit's forum site (run by third-party software).

Such problems are common and yours may be one of them as well.

As painful as it is, usually there is a solution.

------------
Things to try:

1) logout/ log back in to Lit.
2) Quit your web browser while logged in, then start it up again and see if that fixes it.
3) Login and reboot, start the browser again.

Beyond those simple things, it may be a problem like was suggested above: User settings (no cookies and the like) may make a difference. In which case, I would contact Manu's team of tech wiz's and pray for guidance.

Best of luck.

Thanks to all who posted. Finally I got the story posted tonight - it only took three weeks! I have Smasher - a pop-up killer and I turned it off. I had done this before, but tonight with no trouble I finally got my story posted.

I'm still pissed at Literotica though. I sent at least 10 posts to 4 different people at Lit over the past three weeks, and NEVER had one single reply.

I've written here for over 4 years and you would think I could at least get the courtesy of a reply from someone.

Hi Tawny,

I apologize for not getting back with you right away. I sent the info to Manu, and I don't think he's found the problem. I was supposed to check back with him, and then send you any info he found. It is totally my fault that I didn't, and I apologize. Sometimes I can be a little scatter-brained, as I'm sure you know being around the site as long as you have. :)

I will PM you right now and I'll ask Manu if he came up with anything as well.

Please don't think I don't love you just because I'm dumb sometimes. :)

yeah, there must be some cyberburps in the system. I haven't been able to access my 'submissions' page for a couple of days.

member page.main, is available, but I can't see the view submissions. Page Not Found comes up.

Thank you for posting about thie trouble you're having trying to access a part of the site. Can you tell me the link you are clicking on (what it's called) and where you are clicking on it from? I will get right on it if I can find out a little more information.

We have made a few upgrades to the backend of the site (the engine, so to speak) in the last few weeks, and I would love to hear about any problems you are having! I haven't had a rash of questions about this, but even one user having a problem is too many.

Let me know and I'll see if I can recreate the problem over here.

Thanks again! :)

I can't submit

I had to e-mail my story a few days ago because it wouldn't paste into the box on the submission page. I followed the directions, and did type that a story was being e-mailed, but I assumed that the problem had to do with the fact that I'm using AppleWorks on an iMac: it is supposed to be compatible with the rest of the PC world, but maybe not always. It's my first story submission, so I don't have any experience to fall back on.

OK, calm down, people. We are talking about computers, here. They all have a mind of their own, and the more you complain, the more they seem to enjoy it.

Nu Guy Needs Advice

And on this subject, I seem to be hung up on submission. Besides being the title of my next story, it is frustrating. Pending is becoming my new mantra.

Okay, I admit it, I probably did not read the instructions very well... but thats the way I've always done it with new software, (doesn't everyone?)

So I am prepared to start over. How can I delete, download, this things and try again? Can I ignore it and re-submit it with a new title (I'm not proud)??? The download button didn't work.
Have I asked enough questions, yet?

My poems went up in nano seconds.

Thanks.....

My submission problems have been solved, at least as for as posting to Lit is concerned.

I guess patience is the key here.

Thank you, whoever, wherever you are.

*puts on her Laurel face and pretends to be the Lit Queen of Smut and Cum*

Thank you.

:)

*whispers* Let's just keep this between us, okay?

I am certain my problem was SMASHER - a pop up killer. Today I went to access my story site and sure enough it took me to the sign-in page every time.

I blushed prettily and - - turned SMASHER off, and the problem went away. Check to see if you have any program running that might throw a glitch in the line of communication.

I have also heard that sometimes having the dreaded NUM LOCK on will make things difficult.

A soft kiss to Laurel - who is forgiven, and Manu and all the wonderful people at Literotica who I have had the pleasure of working with for over 4 years now. When I started submitting here it was a very small site. Now - whoa baby! Fantastic.

It still overwhelms me to get letters from clear around the world. I received one from Katmandu, Nepal, and another from a lady in Iran - so there's hope of enlightening the ladies there. She had ALL sorts of questions on sex and how to!

As Mr Spock says - "Fascinating!" -- well maybe that's an understatement - more like 'Astounding!'

Unregistered, Hell, I'm the Notorious Tawny T- blush again. I forgot to sign in!
