I am using the term generically, with no intent to disparage or overlook deputy sheriffs, marshals, constables, agents, special agents, D.A.'s investigators, or anyone else authorized to enforce laws and make arrests.

I'm retired, but had what I think of as a good run. I have a couple of story ideas, based less on anything I actually did than on things I thought about. I would like to know if any one else can relate, or whether I'm just...unusual. Besides, it's always fun to compare notes and complaints with other cops and ex cops.
