Not big news I know but, I heard today on NPR that the Hollies have been together for over 50 years. I know in the past there have been a few threads about the Kinks and the Zombies, I am wondering how the well liked the Hollies were in their own country?

Used to love them. Haven't heard them for a long long time. I thought Graham Nash left the group some time ago. How many original Hollies remain?

love them

one of my favourite favourite songs ever = the air that i breathe

That's what I heard today. So maybe only one or two left? They were on PBS the other night as well and actually sounded great and looked pretty good too. I was not aware of how many hits they had, some beatles like sounds along the way but good. Took me back to the Zombies and Procol Harum.

They have a Time Life infomercial over here.

All Their Hits... On 1 EP!

Me too, me too.

Two of my favorites:

The iconic Stop, Stop, Stop.

And the somewhat lesser acclaimed I'll Be Your Baby Tonight.

Hey thanks Colonel. See, that's what I am talking about, lots of music from those guys. I haven't heard either of those two songs in years. The host of NPR was commenting on how they changed their sound over the years which led to longevity. The early stuff is much different than the last hits.
