So I just recently ran out of books to read. I have a kindle so I can use that, but any good suggestions? Something... non-fiction...

Joseph Mitchell. Up in the Old Hotel. Collection of magazine pieces from the New Yorker from the 1940s through '60s. Mitchell's main subject are quirky characters in and around New York, and the waterfront in particular.

I'm reading two books.

Black Cross by Greg Iles. Historical fiction on Nazi chemical warfare and the development of Soman and testing and using it. Slow start but finally getting to some action.

Johnny Tremain. Ya, ya...I know it's Jr high reading. But I volunteer for a reading discussion group for this age. Boring, dry tale of the Boston Tea Party.

Last good book I finished was No Easy Day, about the SEAL killing of bin Laden.

non-fiction?

i could honestly offer a couple, but...
alas,

i seem always a bit suspect.

Most anything by the author known as amicus...

...should elicit at least some kind of rise out of most.

good non-fiction

Devil in the White City by Erik Larsen

Love is a Mixtape by Robert Sheffield

Killing the White Man's Indian

They're no pop-ups, but they're perhaps worth a look. :)

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll pick a few then read them but I don't think I'll ever get through all these...
