Anyone here that games in any capacity? I'm primarily a PC gamer, but am looking to get a Nintendo Wii once Nintendo starts actually putting some on the shelves.

I'm currently playing Rainbow Six: Vegas but am looking forward to John Woo's Stranglehold, Overlord, Blacksite: Area 51, Half-Life Two: Episode Two and many others. What games are you playing and looking forward to?

I've been a gamer since December, 1979 or January, 1980 (I was four, so I can't remember exactly).

I've gamed on Intellivisions, Ataris, Nintendos, Genesiseseses... Supernintendos, N64s, Dreamcasts, Xboxs, and for the last eight years I've been a steady PC gamer.

I used to play almost anything that had some kind've action to it, but lately I have been almost strictly playing first pershon shooters (GTAs and some arcady games added in here and there).

I'm a PC gamer too although I'll probably end up getting an Xbox eventually because I can't afford to keep upgrading my PC.

There's nothing really exciting me at the moment. I recently enjoyed Stalker, but now I'm just killing time playing Morrowind again and Medieval Total War 2. I'm annoyed with that because the damn Mongols have twice ruined my game.

The only thing I can think of that I'm really keen to play is Fallout 3 and that's a year away, and my PC will have no chance of running it well. There's another RPG called The Witcher that looks good too, and Clive Barker's Jericho, but I'll have the same problem with performance.

I was also working on my own mod for Neverwinter Nights 2, but I ran out of steam.

Gaming for me's turned into just a way to kill time, which is sad. Maybe it's time to get me one of them girlfriend things instead.

Yeah, I play. I don't usually bother with the latest technology, though. Somehow, I don't see myself ever bothering to get a new console at this point.

Not interested in Bioshock, UT3, or Crysis? I understand all of them are going to be hardware intensive, but my machine is 3 years old and I'm psyched for tow of those (I'm not normally a multiplayer gamer, though I do enjoy Planetside from time to time).

Holy shit, yeah. I forgot! Crysis, Bioshock, Quake Wars, Mercenaries 2, Fallout 3, Starcraft 2, Alan Wake, and the list goes on.

I'll play anything that doesn't involve actual motor skills. So shooters are out.

My fave is still Diablo II. I especially like playing the Necromancer. ;)

I tried Dungeon Siege. It was OK. Play that occasionally when I want to kill something.

Got Knights of The Old Republic recently. It was good, but I got really tired of getting the living shit beat out of me.

Ps2 and every Nintendo system ever made (well, no Wii yet but more for lack of availability than anything)...Oh, and there's a couple of threads here you might check out...

There's a chain story thread about people getting trapped in video games called "Virtual Reality" with a recruitment thread here on the AH...also Trombonus keeps a weekly video game review thread here... :cathappy:

Oh yeah Bioshock looks cool, but again I'm not going to be able to run it well. Same with any of the latest games. I'm hoping if I go SLI (another 7800) it will make enough difference but if not I'm out. There's no way I'll be doing another major upgrade with moboard, CPU ect.

I'm only running a 6800 Ultra 256 card, so I know the feeling. I need new everything at this point if I want to continue gaming.

And one of these days I'm going to install Call of Cthulu...

I played Stalker. Fun game. One of these days I'm going to install some mods and check out the drivable vehicles. Should be fun. I can't wait to see what custom level designers create for it. I need more missions for that game.

Yep. Yep. Diablo II with the expansion rocks. Dungeon Siege II is just a cheap imitation. I play both.

I just saw a 10 minute gameplay video of Starcraft 2. It was a demo but I watched it in HD in 5.0 stereo and my kids were freaking out. They want it already. lol

Good luck with Call of Cthulhu. It's really, really, really, really hard.

I liked Dungeon Siege 2. I'm not one for hack n slash but it was done really well. Groovy music and atmosphere and such.

The expansion rocks! The Necromancer was OK in the original. In the expansion the changes to the summoning skills, especially the skeletons, improved him a lot.

The Assassin is my second fave. I love sneaking up on things and knifing them in the dark.

I've owned it for ever a year. I bought it before Prey, Quake 4, Stalker, and something else that I can't remember. I really want to have a go at it, but I never get around to installing it. Right now I would have to delete a bunch of stuff to fit it on my nearly full hard drive. I need to go through my porn and delete duplicate files.

I love the Sorceress, but she just can't survive Act VI. :(

And I hate the little pigmy fuckers in Act III.

First time I made to the end of the game was with a Sorceress.

And those little pygmy fuckers is why I like the Necromancer. Just a quick cast of Confuse or Attract and they kill themselves off. :) Then Poison Explosion. They go down heaps.

Dude!!! There's a CoC game? And if it's true to the stories then of course it's hard...in fact there should be no way to win it! ;)

I loved Resistance Fall of Man and pretty much all of the Call Of Duty series

Yes, there is a way to win it, if it's true to the stories.

You'll be granted a clean, quick death.

Any other fate is worse. ;)
