I had a deer take a potshot at me a couple of weeks ago in a forest preserve area.

I'm pretty sure it was a warning shot.

I quit meat for a long time. I don't like to identify the muscles...
I still have problems with whole chickens and rabbits.

They are so overpopulated in some counties out here, you can take as many as six before needing to buy more tags. Some counties you can use slug guns, too. I drive a simi truck, i can tell you deer are all over the damed place and can cause lots of damage to cars and other property.
