I’m writing a very goofy story featuring a cop. It’s not meant to be winning any prizes for verisimilitude, but neither do I want to include any really awful gaffes. I wanted to maybe run a few things by someone.

I’ve only just started writing, so it’s not immediate. And I’m not seeking a major commitment.

DISCLAIMER: I suppose in the interest of gender equality, I should point out that this is a real story. If you are OK with it, I’ll acknowledge you. And it’s not an invitation for fun and sexy texting.

If former aspiring cops who worked private security several years, went to a private police academy and graduated with honors, but then never got hired as an actual cop count, I’m glad to assist you. Sorry I’m not an actual cop outside my fictitious universe. I’ve known a lot of cops and could probably still help you though.

Thanks, hun. I was going to ask about things like whether a real cop would do X, or if that was prohibited.

I’ll mail you the introduction.

Ex-PI but not directly involved with the police. We're ancillary to the police force and exist to do jobs they are too busy or unwilling to do. Cheating husbands and wives isn't an issue for the cops unless one or the other ends up dead. If they happen too find a bail jumper or fugitive, so be it, but they don't generally go looking. Likewise, with missing persons, they look for a time, and as soon as the trail is cool, it goes into cold case files.

You are probably the coolest person I know!

This story is in development hell. Like four different possible versions from a light sex romp to a noir revenge story.

Watch this space.
