Another try . . . traveling again . . .

Hope you're having fun... the steak sounds marvelous...

*puts bib on to soak up drool*

This is cow country. :D I'm happy that it sounds like you're enjoying your visit more. :) Too bad you don't have time to go fly-fishing.

This steak was unbelievable. It was at least 2 inches thick, medium (which means red in the middle for you non-meat eaters) and smothered in a wine and mushroom sauce that was to die for. I could cut it with my fork. And I'm not much of a red meat eater myself, so that means this steak was REALLY something for me to go on about it.

I thought the weather was going to turn cold and rainy today but it ended up being a really nice day. The country here is amazingly beautiful. And the people are equally nice and welcoming. The hotel I'm staying in is an historic hotel with a rather checker past - was a bordello until the 70s. But I haven't seen any ghosts myself yet. Damn, I was really hoping to, too.

And Velvet, that was EXACTLY what my waitress said - this is cow country. I don't know about the fly fishing. Maybe if I had someone to teach me. . . .

ROFL My family would be having a hissy fit if the steaks they'd ordered came covered in anything. "A 'proper' steak needs nothing but its own juices." According to some people anyway. ;)

Fly-fishing can be fairly quickly learned. But to perfect it takes a lifetime.

JM, pics just for you. It was rainy most of the week in Wyoming and I'm not a very good photographer, but here are a few shots. Spring hasn't really hit there yet, so it's not as green as it will be in a few weeks. The storm that rolled in was pretty amazing. The creek runs through the town. Enjoy.

Why thank you, BeachGurl. The photos are great, especially the first one. Looking at these, I realize it's long past time for me to see real mountains again.

Thanks for making me smile, on a day when I needed it. Very thoughtful of you to share.

Jack

Always happy to make you smile, Jack. Glad to know you enjoyed them. It was beautiful, although still chilly there. All in all, an enjoyable trip.

And anytime you need to see the mountains, I'd be happy to show you around AZ.
