Why can't I delete a reply that I had? I accidently replied twice and I can't delete one of them, it says I don't have permission or some such crap.

Why can't I delete a reply that I had? I accidently replied twice and I can't delete one of them, it says I don't have permission or some such crap.

Because if the users are allowed to delete posts, deleting fthe first post in a thread deletes the entire thread -- along with the posts of anyone who replied. Since that reduces the post counts and delays people getting avatars (or a custom title at 1000 posts) The site managers turned the option off.
