So I've had this fantasy for a while, I wonder if one of the writers on here would be willing to give a try.

In the story, I am taken captive and held as one of Jabba the Hutt's slave girls. One of his guards falls in love with me and decides to try to help me escape. He offers to help me only if I agree to be his wife. I want to escape so I agree, and later realize I'm in love with him as well.

You do realize he doesn't survive this story right? Eventually he gets fed to a sarlacc. Either that or you return to Jabba so he doesn't get fed to a Sarlacc.

It doesn't have to be just like in the movie. This can be an alternate reality or a prequel or anything.

Doesn't have to end with the guard being killed and her captured again. Jabba is a gangster after all and they have this odd little thing where if you do something really good they repay you with take what you want.

Suppose the guard saved Jabba from an assassination attempt and so asks to have the girl. Jabba agrees then also tacks on a new duty for him, could simply be look for other worlds where Jabba could get in a hand in the economy.

I mean you can't really think he makes enough money just smuggling stuff. Especially on a planet full of gangsters like him, according to the games and books Jabba is the biggest organization on the planet but not only one and then there's only so much money to be found with a planet full of moisture farmers.

Oh were you saying there's no way a guard could ever escape Jabba if he stole his girl?

If you accept the EU as cannon Jabba is one of the biggest gangster in the galaxy. So big in fact that his primary rival, Prince Xisor is basically held up as an equal in the Emprire to Darth Vader. I think he lives where he lives for security reasons not because it's his true base of operations.

Yeah, I guess you could have the guard getting a reward. The thing is in fiction things can't just happen. There has to be a reason for it. If a guard falls in love with the slave of a gangster and then saves said gangster from an assassination there is an approximatly 100% chance that the guard was somehow involved in the hit in the first place and that's why he was in a position to save the gangster.

Jabba isn't shown to be foolish. Arrogant? Yeah. A little careless? Maybe. He'd figure it out sooner or later and come for his revenge.

This is also about the slave girl finding out LATER that she loves him too. If it was early on then perhaps her being a reward for just good service makes sense. That also begs the question of why does she stay with him? If he loves her and she doesn't love him once they reach safe minimum distance from Jabba the common sense thing is to simply cut her loose.

To me this entire story screams tragedy. Guard sees girl, guard likes girl, guard eventually helps girl escape but can't go back to Jabba for obvious reasons. Can't get her off planet quickly so she stays with him, she eventually grows to love him, Jabba finds them, Jabba feeds guard to Sarlacc.

I like the concept quite a bit. I just don't see a long happy future for this couple.

Long term, yes that's what I was saying. Jabba would hunt that guard down if for no other reason than to save face. Remember with Han they make a point that it's not about the money by the end, it's about respect and the fact that Jabba has a reputation to maintain. If Jabba was willing to go through the trouble he did for Han over some drugs that he dropped with what seems to be fairly good reason (he was about to be boarded) what do you think Jabba is going to do to someone who steals directly from him? I'll give you a hint. Chalk it up as a loss and ignore it seems highly unlikely.

I'm sorry, I don't get it. What is your deal with Jabba? It sounds more like an imprisoned girl, guard falls for her, they escape story. So why Jabba? Why not one of his numerous petty rivals? If you are imprisoned by a petty rival, maybe the guard knows that Jabba is about to squish the guy and coordinates the escape.

The thing with Jabba is that he's instantly recognizable and by just about everybody. You could probably use one of his rivals and be okay but Princess Leia in her iron bikini chained to Jabba is iconic. There isn't a person in America and probably very few people in the world who wouldn't recognize that image. That's why you use Jabba and not some random gangster.

If the goal is to replicate that scene, than presumably any Hutt would suffice. I assume there are other Hutt gangsters out there. I'm not sure I could pick Jabba out of a lineup of Hutts.

It's not (for me) about replicating that scene per se, it's about the clout Jabba brings to a story. You know, it's kinda the same reason why if you're going to destroy Tokyo you don't send a fire breathing dragon. You send Godzilla because he's special. Same thing here.

I think we need to know more about this slave girl, at least her looks aand basic persona if not a bit of her back story and the same for the guard.

I would prefer it to be Jabba for the reasons Sean gave. If someone wants to write the story I would be glad to discuss this more with them via PMs.

Don't use PMs. Discuss it all right here. The more people who have access to the information the more potential writers you have.

This is a miserable idea for a Star Wars erotic fanfic. And that is saying a lot, as Star Wars erotic fanfics are terrible in general.

I say it is terrible, because it is about the all together most cliche plot you could imagine. Seriously. You are literally taking the slave Leia scene and adding a girly marriage plot on top of it.

Please don't pollute the internet with this.

I agree with you. Nothing wrong with a Jabba story, but judging by Star Wars lore, you could create your own character that is a Hutt, just like him, and make this guy into something.

The thing is you'd be wasting your time. Jabba is a known factor. The reason you use him is the same reason why people write about the Kardashians instead of just making up beautiful women.
