Another Road Trip Story

Kayla and her son, Chase are on a road trip down to the coast. Both wanting to get away from the woes of their individual lives.

They get to the part of the beach they wanted and find that there’s only a one bedroom condo available. Chase, of course takes the sofa allowing the bedroom to Kayla.

They both have their own space to workout their troubles.

They both decide to try and push their worries aside and just enjoy themselves. It seems to work. They enjoy the sun and surf during the day and bars at night.

I think several of the most viewed stories on this site involve mother-son incest in cars. Usually somebody like dad is driving while the mom is sitting on the son's lap in the back seat. If that appeals to you, fine, but it's hardly the most original idea on here.

The writer must have gotten a bit absorbed in this own plot, because as things heat up, he seems to forget to add paragraph breaks. All of the top ten involve incest; with number 7 being "Mom Takes a Ride," with nine million views. Number 14 is "Backseat Mommy: A Long Hard Ride."

It's a sure winner, but the challenge is to come up with a new take on it. How about if the son is a police officer or state trooper who takes mom for a ride-a-long? No other officer in the vehicle, of course. Maybe I should write it just for popularity with the readers. Well, cops may get an unexpected call, which disrupts things. Maybe the son is a long-haul trucker, and mom has just separated from her husband (the guy's father?) of many years.

P.S.: I would probably make her his step-mom, or maybe his uncle's wife, because "real" incest is a bit icky to me.

I just suggested ways to do that in the message above. I sort of like the idea of the guy being a long-haul trucker and his step-mom or step-aunt asks for a "ride-along." No other people are in the vehicle. It seems to work best as a single-overnight trip - New Jersey to Chicago?

Probably he'd have to pull over to the side of the road or go to the back of a truck-stop lot to complete the deal. I mean, it's kind of hard to drive a truck and not be distracted by all that. (Plus one hand on the wheel, one hand on the transmission lever - not enough hands for her).

Well, you write your stories and I'll write mine. I'm not even sure I'm doing this; it's just a concept at the moment. I guess there is such a thing as step-grand-daughters? I have children but no grandchildren yet; maybe never for that.

Speaking of truck drivers with pills: I've heard stories of them taking too many amphetamines or other "uppers" and having hallucinations that were so bad that they had to pull over to the side of the road. Maybe that could be worked in somehow. Drugs are (or were) so interwoven into truck-driving culture that they are openly mentioned in songs.
