Where i used to work or even on t.v. i have heard women say oh my gosh i am so wet, just by looking at a guy or something simple like that, but i am not that way, i have to be touched or some kind of contact exspecially in the crotch area before i can get wet. why is this, why can i not get wet on the drop of a dime but other women do

because you are your own unique and special self.

Plus also because most of those other chicks are exaggerating for effect.

hey your more then welcummed to some of mine i use to be able to tell when i was starting my monthly cycle because of it but now its when i get out of bed in the morning whenever i walk up the street doc says can't do anything because he doesn't really wanna mess with ala natural if there's not extensively wrong:eek:

Different women are made different and react differently to stimuli. I know that sometimes I'll be into foreplay with my S/O and not think I'm wet at all until I feel his hands on my pussy. Then I'm almost always shocked to learn just how wet I am. I just don't feel it the way some other women do, I guess.

As long as you don't have problems with wetness, then it really is more of a thing of curiosity than a problem.

a Friend of mind confessed that because of taking a combination of drugs she was horny as hell and dripping all the damn time, as she put it.

Photocopy her RX and post it!!!!

Seriously, I try and follow a lot of pharmacology. My SO works in research for a large drug company, and we both know that a lot of side effects don't get reported or are generalized. It takes informal reporting to learn about specific things.

So just for our curiosity, would she please revel the combination of drugs she's taking?

PS: I'd like to start a thread to collect sex related side effects but I'm afraid it would get lost pronto on the general board.

I wouldn't say I get wet at the drop of a hat but I don't need physical stimulation. Someone could rub and pet me for hours and unless I'm turned on mentally it wont work... not a drop.

I find since I stretched my inner labia piercings I've been wet a lot more. The rings are fairly heavy so I get a constant gentle tug on my labia and clit which is enough to keep me wet when doing everyday stuff like walking etc.

I'm also on drugs that apparantly reduce my sex drive and ability to produce body fluids properly, but this doesn't seem to have much effect on how wet I get even though I suspect it should.

Well... I will E-mail her this Thread. If she choses to help out either directly or through me, OK.

I too get wet at the drop of a hat. It was MUCH worse when I was younger - aging has definately made a difference. Wet is good, but TOO wet means less friction. I heard once that if you take antihistimines it will dry all moisture - ie. vaginal too - if too wet, never tried it.

PM would be fine, or e-mail in my profile, if it makes her more comfortable. Thx

The old anti-histimes (and many other drugs) have a side effect of "dry mouth". Actually it's dry(er) everything, including vaginal mosture. Doesn't stop it; just reduces it.

PS: Got dry mouth? Try chewing gum.

I've been on antihistime/decongestants for years - hasn't stopped the flow a bit. I can get really wet just thinking about sex - and if I spend anytime on this board.... forget about it. Sometimes too wet IS a bad thing - of course if it gets really bad I usually suggest anal! (ok - beg for, plead for.....) That's something that more wetness can only help! lol

I don't exactly get wet at the drop of a hat, but once my mind shifts into sexual mode the wetness begins, and if I keep myself in this frame of mind (can't remember when I haven't) the flow can ger pretty heavy. I don't always know how wet I am until I or someone else touches me. Anyway getting wet does not seem to be a big problem for me, but I know from conversations I have had it is not the same for everyone. Just another way we all differ.

Not from what I've heard. As we age and make less Estrogen we often make less lubricant too from what I understand?!?! I should be about normal when that happens! lol

?? Really?? wouldn't you say, though, that you are far horneir now than say your early teens thus you get wet faster and easyier??

I'm too lazy to quote both of the comments and respond, but this is response to the post previous to that quote, too.

You're both somewhat right, but it's mostly because not many people realise when everyone hits their peaks. Everyone hits their peak physically around 18 or 19. If you keep up the same activity levels for the whole of your life, that's when you'll be in the best shape. This, too, is when men hit their sexual peak. A 17-19 year old guy can more or less slam his unit in a car door and not be slowed down for any other applications he may have for it. So, of course, it's the tendancy to think that fitness and verility go together, which isn't so. Women hit their sexual peak at about 30, give or take a few years based on who precicely it is.

So, yes, if you're talking to a young woman, she'll be moving closer to that peak and getting all of the physical effects of it, and yes, if we're talking about a woman in her thirties or older, she'll be producing less and less of the hormones associated with wetness.

Of course, this is something that should be noted: These are tendancies. If an 20 year old woman has sex 8 times a day every day for two years and then becomes a particularly devout nun, she'll have had her peak at 20, and her body reacting appropriately to the lack of activity 10 years later. In a controlled environment, you can chart this stuff, but we're awfully good at adapting to new surroundings.

All I know about it is from what I've read here and some icky commercials about 'personal lubricants' that I read in a magazine at the doctor's office! lol

Heck, I always try to please! :)

Actually crazybbwgirl is correct. As a woman ages her natural lubrication may lessen. This is due to the lessening of hormones that her body creates as she nears and eventually goes through menopause. It's also where night sweats and hot flashes come from.

As with anything else, not all women experience these things. Also, the walls of a woman's vagina become thinner, which can cause bleeding during intercourse. Fun gettin' old, isn't it? ;)

And some women do experience a surge of sexual energy as they age. Not all, however. It has to mainly with the idea that women have less to worry about in regards to pregnancy issues, children grown/out of the house, reaching a comfort level about themselves, and I've heard one report somewhere state it's because a woman's testosterone levels increase as she ages.

Okay, this is probably way more info than anybody wanted to know, but I'm just a walking trivia container sometimes!

I knew Chele would know the answer! She always does. I have started the wonderful hot flashes. And I was warm enough already. I wear long, loosely flowing sleeveless dresses - all year long. Maybe in winter I'll put on a light sweater in the morning. This was BEFORE the hot flashes started this spring! I can't imagine what I'll be down to next summer - gauze nighties to work? lol And my 80 year old receptionist (ok - she's really only 70) is always jacking UP the A/C - grrrrrr - she's gonna have to go.....

I get wet very easily, esp. from "dirty talk", no wonder I love lit. huh?
I think it just depends on the woman and how receptive you are.

This is one I have to agree with. :p

I'm 37 and I get wetter now that I used to in say like my 20's, and a hell of alot faster too lol. I'm not complaining just contributing my two cents worth in.

Then again thinking about it I'm also more into sex too lol.

So I think it's a matter of how receptive you are.:rose:

I know this sounds odd, but my ex-girlfriend would get TOO wet. It was a real turn-on for me, but there just wasn't enough friction! It wasn't the size difference - she was nice and tight - but after years of vigorous self-abuse, I guess when it gets TOO slippery, I have trouble getting enough stimulation to come...

But, on the plus side, it meant LONG, LONG sex sessions!!!

Moonie has that problem
her solution: move to anal...she makes enough of her own lube LOL
