Another maniac with a gun fires into a crowd.

The comparison to pools is idiotic to begin with. It's embarassing people make that connection.

WHy they kill 3,500 people a year!!

AR-15's kill less than 300 and we want them banned, why the fuck do we NEED pools?:mad:

BAN THEM!!

Just AR-15's, eh?

So how many deaths occurred in kidney-shaped pools with a max depth of five feet?

Ignoring that the 3500 people per year doesn't appear to be accurate the reality is that pools are not weapons and we both know it.

I think we could probably make an excellent case for if you have young people your pool best be monitored in some way but hey whatever.

The reality is that comparing the two is stupid.

You've already admitted you don't care if people die, so why are you still on about this?

Does the means in which they die matter?

If so, you should be for banning pools over rifles, according to your own logic.

And while you're at it, ban fists and knives too... those both kill far more people every year than all rifles do (and that includes that scary AR 15).

CDC says 3500~ drownings per year.

Sorry that's all drownings not pool drownings, but since AR-15's are machine guns and military weapons of war what's accuracy in labeling anyhow right? Anything to make your case!!

Ban assault pools!!!

the reality is that pools are not weapons and we both know it.

So? Baseball bats are weapons and they kill nearly 5x as many people as rifles every year. No scream for banning them.

Pools aren't a civil right either.

Assault weapons bans are a bunch of do nothing fear mongering bullshit derp meant to do nothing more than piss off gun owners at large and we both know it.

I think we could probably make an excellent case for if you have young people your pool best be monitored in some way but hey whatever.

Or we could just let morons be morons.

The reality is that comparing the two is stupid.

Only because it shits all over the 99% pure lies and bullshit "Ban assault weapons!" (D) narrative. :D

You've already admitted you don't care if people die, so why are you still on about this?

Gotta defend the (D) narrative bro!!! Every bit of it!!

That's all drownings like you stated.. That includes people who drink/smoke and get in the tube and do you have a plan for outlawing the ocean, rivers and floods? I can't find a better break down than that one.

So? Baseball bats are weapons and they kill nearly 5x as many people as rifles every year. No scream for banning them.

Incorrect again and I know you've looked up the stats in the last year or so. That is every single blunt instrument out there. Beer bottles, chairs, smashing a dude against a wall probably qualifies.

Pools aren't a civil right either.

But access to water would be covered by life. Until and unless you come up with a breed of human that doesn't need to consume water regularly. Which isn't really the point. What a bunch of dead guys bothered putting on a sheet of paper is an argument for those who have none.

Assault weapons bans are a bunch of do nothing fear mongering bullshit derp meant to do nothing more than piss off gun owners at large and we both know it.

Didn't argue that. In fact the argument for keeping rifles assault and otherwise legal shouldn't rely on comparisons to other things, especially not other things with vastly disparate uses. It should come down to the fact that 500 or so deaths a year falls well within the acceptable range given what we receive in return. No more justification needed or even possible.

The CDC goes on to explain that a lot of these drowning are because motherfuckers can't swim. So you know in addition to adding gun safety which would at least alleviate some of the accidental deaths (might cause a few inentional ones though. I imagine there are no stats available for "I wanted to shoot a motherfucker but while I was figuring out what a safety was or how to chamber a round that biatch left." But hey that's a game I'm more than happy to play.

Or we could just let morons be morons.

We could, but at some point letting morons be morons comes back to bite you. I live in California. The flammable part. If the risk of fireworks was limited to idiots blowing their fingers off I'd probably still step in but that's not the risks that are faced here.

Only because it shits all over the 99% pure lies and bullshit "Ban assault weapons!" (D) narrative. :D

No this has nothing to do with the (D) narrative and everything to do with the truth. We could compare all gun deaths to vehichle deaths if we wanted to but it wouldn't be accurate.

It doesn't shit on the (D) argument. It's just a shit argument to begin with and not one we would accept for anything else.

Ovens don't bake cookies.
People bake cookies.

Not natural disasters, accidents.

And sure, ocean/river/lake recreation under strict state supervision by licenced lifeguards and only under permits.

Why not?

Incorrect again and I know you've looked up the stats in the last year or so. That is every single blunt instrument out there.

Yea....kinda like (D)'s blaming every fucking shooting ever on AR-15's.

But access to water would be covered by life.

You don't need a swimming pool or a bathtub to drink water. New baths/pools should be outlawed except for government run and monitored facilities! If it saves just one life!!

No this has nothing to do with the (D) narrative and everything to do with the truth.

If it were about the truth then (D) would be after small caliber handguns which account for the near entirety of gun crimes and murders.

Instead they can't stop humping the AR-15...so it is the (D) narrative. It's the (D) pushed pile of shit fear mongering lie that an assault weapons ban is both necessary and would be effective at stopping gun deaths/mass shootings.

We could compare all gun deaths to vehichle deaths if we wanted to but it wouldn't be accurate.

Why not? Inanimate objects being improperly used resulting in death and or intentionally used to kill is morally/ethically the same fucking thing.

A truck mowing down 84 people isn't any more or less the trucks fault than it is the AR-15's fault the Virginia Tech Shooter took a pair of pistols and mowed down 32 classmates.

But you CAN'T tell a democrat that!! No sir ree!! AR-15's are military machine guns and nobody needs that kinda firepower. Right? Just ask Hillary....LOL

It doesn't shit on the (D) argument.

You're right, it fucking DESTROYS it.

Photon torpedo style....full spread.

Last I checked most official recreational areas DO have lifeguards. But we don't do that because we have deemed one way or the other that it's not worth the effort.

Nope. Not like (D)s blaming every fucking shooting on ARs. Just the ones with ARs and similar weapons. They ignorantly ignore the actual handgun problem but the reality is that if nothing can be done about the ARs then the handguns are pointless and they aren't willing to admit that nothing will ever be done. Handguns are cute and harmless and we both know that.

Not if it saves just one life.

A truck had a different use primarily. It's not about fault, it's about purpose.

Actually it supports the argument, but I'm bored now.

Not enough political fuckery and hype.

And similar weapons, that means everything scary looking to (D)'s.

They make everything an AR-15.

They ignore it because they lost back when the 2A was written. So they just made up this lie called "assault rifles" and decided to piss all the gun owners off with it.

It's the (D) narrative of lies about assault weapons and banning them.

Not if it saves just one life.

A truck had a different use primarily. It's not about fault, it's about purpose.

Rifles have a different use primarily too.

And not it's not about purpose it's about pissing gun owners off and being the most irritating fucks about it possible.

Actually it supports the argument, but I'm bored now.

How does ANYTHING I've said support the 'assault weapons' ban being anything but a piss in the American gun owners post toasties??

There's no ignorance in Clinton's anti-gun platform... she knows that the crowd that follows her is not educated on the subject... She's calculated the risks, and she knows, like I know, that no handgun bills are going to get passed due to 2010 and 2012 supreme court decisions. You should know it as well, since I've told you 4 or 5 times now...

The Clinton camp are definitely using AR 15s as the boogieman, just like W was using "enriched plutonium" as the boogieman for going in to Iraq. It's all bullshit. It was then, it is now.

The "if it saves just one life" argument is so ridiculous and full of shit... and interesting how it only applies to guns. You know what would save a lot more than "just one life"? Universal Healthcare... too bad Clinton is "too pragmatic" to support that, right?

People should not be able to walk down the street with rifles. If you think they do then you deserve to be shot by one.

Seems a bit extreme... I don't know why you're advocating violence.

So a cop walking down the street with a rifle should be shot?

Only to guns....

Anything else that actually kills SIGNIFICANTLY more people and they call it an absurd argument.

That AR-15 tho...it's just so fucking terrifying.

You know what would save a lot more than "just one life"? Universal Healthcare... too bad Clinton is "too pragmatic" to support that, right?

Well ya see she's gotta be incramentalist so her buddies in the the HC insurance and big pharma industries can bilk the system for as much as possible and fund her re-election campaign!

Isn't progress wonderful!!:D

Been there done' that that's why I like to have guns of my own. ;)

BURLINGTON, Skagit County — The search continued Saturday morning for the gunman who fatally shot five people Friday night in the Cascade Mall in Burlington.

Four female victims were confirmed dead Friday evening, State Patrol Sgt. Mark Francis said. A male victim who had been flown to Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center in critical condition died overnight, Francis tweeted at 3:28 a.m. Saturday.

The victims identities have not been released, but authorities say they ranged from a teen to seniors.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his late teens to mid-20s with a close-shaved haircut. He used a long gun similar to a hunting rifle, Francis said. Police released a security-footage photo of him shortly after 9 p.m.

A motive for the shootings is still unknown, authorities said Saturday.

Tari Caswell told the Skagit Valley Herald that she was in the Macy’s women’s dressing room and heard what she thought were balloons popping, which seemed strange.

“Then I heard seven or eight or more, and I just stayed quiet in the dressing room because it just didn’t feel right,” she told the Herald. “And it got very quiet. And then I heard a lady yelling for help, and a man came and got me and another lady, and we ran out of the store.”

This marks Washington’s seventh mass shooting with at least four people shot this year, according to the Gun Violence Archive.

Did I say a cop? I said people, as in everyday shleps, like the idiots you see in walmart on youtube. Stop being willfully ignorant just to try and prove your point.

Not if it saves just one life.

I can think of about a hundred things that would "save one life" that YOU would not tolerate for 10 seconds. Nor should you.

Which is why this stupid meme should never be uttered in defense of ANY argument again. Ever.

Jesus Christ .. can you space out your massacres? 3 or 4 in the last fortnight - It's downright confusing!

USA can't ban guns -- they're the national religion -- so the only remedy is to ban crowds. Everybody stay away from everybody else. Don't clump-up. Would-be mass murderers will be frustrated by the lack of targets. Stay at home, in your basement, safely away from the brutes.
