In an extraordinary rebuke, the Republican National Committee on Friday
voted Friday to condemn Reps. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) and Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.),
the two Republican members of a House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021,
attack on the U.S. Capitol by a pro-Trump mob.

Not voted into political office, so their opinions don't count ?

Bill Palatucci, a (RNC) committeeman from New Jersey, and Henry Barbour,
(not a Trump Loyalist) a (RNC) committeeman from Mississippi, both said
after the meeting they voted not to censure the lawmakers.

The censure is largely symbolic for Kinzinger, who announced last year
that he will not seek another term in office. In that announcement video,
Kinzinger cited his "disappointment in the leaders that don't lead" and
rising extremism within the Republican Party
