Buns. Baps seems more specific, as they're soft and white, but it's not a word I'd usually use.

...unless I'm talking about tits. Obviously.
 
In our local supermarkets, they are sold as white burger buns or baps.
 
You can't beat a sausage cob. Maybe throw in a cheeky fried egg.

And a couple of slices of bacon...

My local dogwalker's burger van, currently non-operational because of Coid, offers whatever you like in a bap, covered with Heinz tomato sauce.

It is popular because all the ingredients (except the sauce) come from local farms and are delicious.

The wrongest thing I found out this morning is that engineers use j for root -1, rather than the correct i. Pete or Thor need to get in here and defend this travesty.
