35-year old San Antonio guy on probation for drug possession, living with his girlfriend for 8 months, gets into a fight with her a couple of weeks ago and goes back to his 31-year old wife and their 4 sons...
...the newly reunited family are returning from a Father's Day party Monday morning in the family car when the father loses control while speeding, gets sideways, and slams into bulldozer which is parked off the side of the road.
Mom Roxanna, 9-year old Silas, and 1-year old Ezra are pronounced dead at the accident scene; 4-year old Jeshua dies 4 hours later at the hospital...
...only one of the 4 brothers survives the crash and he's admitted to the hospital with severe brain trauma; all restraint systems were employed.
The dad survives with recoverable injuries, but is arrested and charged in the hospital with intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault; it's also discovered he has a warrant out for his arrest for violating his probation because he's tested positive for marijuana and cocaine 4 times in the past year.
Today, the First Assistant District Attorney told the press the dad could be charged with felony murder, too, which carries a sentence of 5-99, or life...
...the surviving family is perplexed and standing behind the father; the mother of mom Roxanna tells a reporter she's forgiven her son-in-law; a cousin tells a reporter she isn't angry because she doesn't think the dad knew what he was doing; relatives tell a reporter the dad wasn't known to drink.
The intoxicated assault charged is likely to be dropped, though, because today, after the doctors said they've done all they can and at the family's request, life support for 8-year old Abram was halted.
5 human lives extinguished and a 6th sentenced to living hell on earth; an entire family wiped-out...
...and still it goes on.
