Okay. Since my doctor has proved essentially useless as of late, I have a question.

For those of you who've gone off Depo, how long did it take for your body to regulate? I had my last shot on May 14 of last year, and after some initial serious health problems related to it, started having periods again around January. I've had two normal periods, one that landed me in the hospital (15 days of bleeding), and then another normal one, and now I'm 15 days late for my period. A pregnancy test says I am not pregnant.

Is this normal?

i only ever had one shot of depo.
that led to 13 months of continuous bleeding, resulting in 3 blood transfusions.
it took a further 48 months - yes, you read that right, 48 months - before my hormones returned to normal, and i finally had my body back.

so, to answer your question, yes it's normal... for some of us :(

I had a friend that was on it, however she was extremely underweight (she was 5'8 and 120 pounds and still losing weight when we parted ways). It took her about a year before she got her period again.

It might be worth taking another test mind, cos ask I recall (and please feel free to say you know better) a negative may be a positive and a positive is always a positive. As I recall you posted re pain etc previously so perhaps the two are linked and worth writing to your doctor seeking a response?

my doctor is useless, and I'm seeking another one, but no one is taking patients.

So until that time, I'm stuck with clinics, which have been proving useless, and you guys.
