This is sad, as there was a family connection there, in a roundabout way.

Buddy was from across the river from where I live now. My Grandfather had stories about how when he lived in the next town over, he and Buddy would play pool together at a local pool hall. Always had good things to say about him. Never forgot where he came from, no matter where he was going.

That's really weird. I have a family connection to him too.

My mom grew up in Buddy's hometown (which is across the river from...um...nevermind that ). Anyway, he taught my grandma how to swim when he was a teenager.

so maybe my grandma knew your grandpa
