My fiancé’s dad begins treatment next week for liver cancer, praying everything goes okay and he has the strength he needs to keep going, he’s so frail right now.

Thank you. Unfortunately, the chemo and radiation will just extend his life a short period of time. With out it, his odds are 3-6 months and with it they increase to a few years. It’s jus a sad situation.

Yes, it is a very unhappy situation, but one thing I know is, you never know for sure what is going to happen. I hope that the time your fiancés father has left is without pain, and has as much meaning and quality to it as possible. So when that time is over, those left behind will have as few regrets as possible.

Five years ago in January 2014, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastasized ovarian cancer. I said that so you'll know that a diagnosis isn't a death sentence! I did chemo, followed by surgery and more chemo. Not only am I a cancer survivor, but so is my brother, one sister and my son!

Help your future FIL and fiancé’ by remaining positive, which isn't always easy, and understanding.

Oh, I know it’s not. This August will mark my 30th year of remission. Went I was in upper elementary-first year of college I went to and then volunteered at an oncology camp for kids and a separate one for their siblings. I’ve seen miracles happen and I’ve also seen the opposite. We’re of course hoping for not the opposite.

Update: my father in law is out of the hospital :). Thank you for all your help. 💜
 
Praying For Black Cashmere, the kindest biggest heart - not just on Lit, but with everyone she touches in her life. May the issues my dear, lovely friend is facing pass, leaving her stronger than before.

Please send your prayers, good wishes and positive energy to this beautiful soul in these trying times. She is string, but good thoughts and vibes can only help make her stronger.
