Has anyone else experienced a problem with the Anonymous Feedback feature?
For some time now, maybe a couple of months, I have experienced an uneasy feeling the feature no longer functions properly - or at all. Even with my Email addy affixed, all feedback I have generated has been universally ignored. Nor have I received feedback either. Naturally it has occurred to me that no one likes the feedback I provide. Similarly, while *ugh* the thought is repugnant, it is entirely possible, readers have taken a sudden dislike to my posted stories.
Last evening, I submitted feedback to myself and, guess what, it never showed up in my in box.
I have contacted the Lit Webmaster and haven't received a reply yet but wondered if anyone else has experienced the problem?

i've gotten 2 anon feedbacks over the last 24 hours...so it seems to be working for me...

Justin Thyme,

'love that name by the way.

I am so glad you posted this! That is exactly what has been happening to me, I was beginning think perhaps it was just me. Like you I wondered if people had just taken an instant disliking to me and my stories.

I used to get around one or two feedbacks a day, then suddenly nothing, zitcho.

The same for the feedback I was sending. I send a short, or in some cases, a not so short message to the author of every single story I read in here, and I always include my email. I used to receive a response back in almost all cases, but now nothing!

Please if you don't mind, would you email me direct when you get a response from Lit. My address is the_bragis@hotmail.com

Have a great day now,

Alex(fem)

It's also summer for a lot of Lit readers. There may not be as many.

I've been getting feedback that's normal in volume, or as normal as I think it'd be.

I just sent you an anonymous feedback test, myself, Justin. ;) Let us know if it comes through.

One thing to check is to see if somehow the email address in your profile was changed?

I stopped getting any feedback, and I KNOW that some was sent, because I got mail saying "why didn't you respond to the feedback?"

BTW At the end of my story, it says

Warning: not enough shared memory left in /home/literot/literoticanet/literotica/newclasses/classSharedMemory.php on line 34

3 times instead. So I guess Houston, we have Python problems.

If it's working for some people and others fear it might not be for them, then I will be happy to take a look at those accounts where something seems fishy. Please me a PM with your username & on file email address and I'll see if there's anything funky looking with your account.

I'm pretty sure that the feedback feature itself is fine, but we have had sporadic problems with the Literotica.org addresses in the past. I don't think I've seen any complaints recently, but it's worth looking into.

Hi Joe!

I looked at one of your stories and it appears that you have Anonymous Feedback turned off on the story I looked at. If you don't allow Anonymous Feedback, then the Anonymous Feedback link doesn't appear, I think. I'll have to look into this more to make sure that I'm telling you the right info. The shared memory problem shouldn't be related to the feeback in any way.

I'll take a look at the set-up later today, and if you could check and see if your Anonymous Feedback is set to "on" or "off" where the link isn't appearing, that would be awesome.

I will contact you via PM and we can see if we can get this figured out.

Thanks for letting me know about the shared memory, too. :)

Cool huh? I start a thread then, after a couple of hours, shut the computer down and go away for the weekend.
Thanks for the responses. It looks as though the system works for some and not for others. I PM'd Laurel and hopefully things will work out. It's disheartening not to receive feedback! It is downright anoying when the feedback I send is never received. I always try to send a message after reading a story - admittedly the message may be a bit long but I know from my own experience it's good to know that someone actually reads my stuff.
JT:)
