The point of this thread is to send appreciation or gratitude to someone special. It can be anonymous from either direction. If you want to post anonymously, feel free to send me a PM. I'll post it for you. Your anonymity is guaranteed. HIPAA applies to this thread. Your privacy will be diligently protected.

If you wish to make a not-so-anonymous post, you may choose to post the identity of your recipient as you wish.

It is my hope that this thread will induce at least a single tear here and there and lots of smiles.

There are two people in this forum, they know who they are, that I can not thank enough. I've been going through a rough patch over the past few months. They've embraced me, figuratively and literally, and brought me into their family. At times, they've been my lifeline to sanity.

T&J, I couldn't possibly thank you enough. Please know that you've touched a life and made a difference.

 &

I appreciate YOU, BeachMomma, for always having a caring and loving heart! You go beyond what is necessary to be a good friend. The Love you spread is infectious to others.

Thank you sweetie! I appreciate you as well for the same reason. You're an awesome friend!

BeachMomma, methinks you've got good taste in lifelines, I'm pretty sure I know who they are too. :)

I would post, but it would make me cry before work. Plus I'm not sure my recipients would be cool with me getting all publicly mushy about them :D

But I love the thread and you can bet your sweet bippee :)D) I'll stay subscribed.

To Black Cashmere,

I want to express my appreciation to you anonymously for the light that you are that shines on us all. You are always positive and upbeat and your kind words to us all inspire us to be better people. You are truly loved.

Disclaimer: I didn't write this. It came in my PM inbox. I wholeheartedly agree with every sentiment.

AQUAGAL - There are days that I truly and honestly don't think I would have pulled away with my sanity if it wasn't for that woman. She is also my instigator when I need a naughty laugh. She is truly my Lit Bestie!!!!

PL1, occasional public mushity (that's mushy nudity :D ) is good for the soul. Besides, I've been crying all morning. It's someone else's turn.

Remember, you can wax poetic in anonymity if you so desire.

FGG, I could say the same for you. I'm surprised your inbox hasn't exploded yet. You're a great shoulder to cry on, and you make me laugh - even if you won't sing Rocky Top. :D

Love ya girlie!

Okay, may I say something......

First of all, I think it's a lovely idea. We should all show our appreciation and affection to those we appreciate and love, or like, or lust after, or whatever. Life is too short.

Now, about the posting it for someone else thingy.... I find it a little weird. A few weeks ago, I posted something for/about an old friend on the boards. I then got a PM asking me if it was a surrogate post.... which I had no idea what it meant, but then it was explained to me. I then thought about it and decided that it's a silly concept.

I guess the person who PMed me thought I was posting it for someone whom this person was hoping to hear from, or something? Or what?! Either way, it confused me greatly, and I'm guessing that the two people concerned never did get together or hear from each other if they're that busy dancing around the issue and messing around with surrogate posts. Or not. Or what!? Right?

I say just be honest with people, tell them how you feel, avoid confusion and hurt feelings, make someone smile and have them know why, and go from there.

I hope this doesn't offend anyone. If it does, send a PM to BeachMomma and have her tell me :D

Having said all that ( sorry, it'a a bit long ), I hereby declare my appreciation for BeachMomma for starting another lovely loveydovey thread. I sincerely think we can never have too many of those.

HAHAHA! No! Wrong thread if they don't like your idea! That would be the Anonymous Secrets Thread! :D

Whatever someone's reason for wanting it to stay anonymous, I just wanted to make that an option for them. Instead of creating an alt, they have the option to go through me. I, too, prefer to just say what I think and feel, but sometimes that just isn't possible.

Today has been an emotional day for me. I won't go into details, so suffice it to say I've discovered a far wider support system and safety net than I even realized existed. Yes, some Literoticans are included in that support system.

Enjoy me while I'm being mushy. Snark will resume in 3........2.......

Then I'm sending you hugs and vibes for support right now. I too have been on the receiving end of unexpected Litster kindness before and it felt wonderful to realize that I was appreciated around here. It helped tremedously and blew my mind a little to finally understand that we're all real people here with real issues and real feelings, our online personas nonwithstanding.

So, ((hugs)), BeachMomma, and I'll share my favorite quote with you, a lyric by Jewel:

"Light does the darkness most fear"

Be the light and don't let the bastards get you down :cattail:

If that's too subtle here's another one:

"If you're up to your neck in shit you gotta hold your head up high" :D

Oh and P.S. Alts piss me off so maybe your idea is pretty good after all!

You have been very kind and very sweet and I love how open we can be with one another... even if its like the oddest analogies known to man LOL But hey it works for us! And while I live here I will never sing that song not unless I am dying and even then I will go down with a fight!

:heart: And you know I am always a PM away

HAHAHA! Love that! I need to put that on my badge!

Thank you doll. I appreciate that. I'm not usually sentimental or teary. I'm much more comfortable being a snarky goofball. Most of the people here are pretty cool. The ones who aren't don't matter anyway. Kinda like real life. :D

So am I, sugar! Maybe the next time one of us goes home, we can get together! Wouldn't that be awesome? We should probably do that here in Florida. I don't think Tennessee could handle us!

Who else could we be us with? We can bash men and compare them to boils in one sentence, then talk about how much we love them in another! Not many people can take a conversation to the extremes that we do. :D

For sweet Respy......your light and peace are appreciated by many.

For Scent.......you are the yin to my yang. Thank you. :) ;)

For BK.....your friendship and caring mean so much. :rose:

For BeachMomma....your sense of humor is awesome. That thread was a blast that night. Thank you for starting this thread!

To all of my other Lit friends, thank you for being wonderful.

Thank you doll! You're a sweetheart!

I'm in awe of Respy and Scent. That's the only way I know to put it.

BK - I love seeing her in threads! I always look for her toes. :D

Errrrr, which thread are you speaking of? Have I been drunk posting again? (Tonight doesn't count. )

I appreciate the people here who continually give me a smile, make me laugh, or in some other way lighten my mood. I appreciate their kind words, inspiring thoughts, and the conversations we've shared. I appreciate their friendships and treasure each every single day. :rose:

It was a few weeks ago, BK, and several others were posting about a get away car and our roles. It was fun.

LOL, I love those toes too!

OMG! Yes! I remember! We were writing our movie! That was the best! We really should make that into a book. We could all retire young and rich! Well, y'all could retire young and rich. I'll just retire rich. :D

I always laugh when I see or hear somebody refer to the Lit board as a "porn site." Anybody who thinks it's just a porn site either doesn't go to the same forums I go to or they haven't been here very long.

Nice thread, Beach Momma... and just for the record, while you're mushy and all :)... I have never seen you to be unusually snarky.. just sayin'

Thanks! You apparently haven't been in a thread with PMann, Emerson, Rainshine, and me. :D I'm not (usually) mean about it, but sarcasm is my first language. If you want to see me get mean-snarky, that's usually reserved for PM Asshats which happens to be my Literotican pet peeve.

Cowslinger- I appreciate that man. He is a wonderful friend...makes me laugh, makes me feel better after I have talked his ear off. (No..not in THAT way...pervs :D). I know that no matter what, I can always call him...friend.

Fungatorgurl- Now that we have gotten to where we are.....we've always been able to say anything to each other...and gotten it. We can be snarky, funny, silly, serious, whatever...all in ONE conversation. We are the queens of multiple conversations at one time. :D We are a lot alike....that could be good..or bad..depends on whose point of view you're going with. lol

I agree.. he's a true friend and a good man!
