Annonymous

I'd like to say that was on purpose--but it wasn't. I did look at it twice and wonder (I'm a terrible speller)--but then I thought, "What the hell." Chances are I eventually would have looked it up while I was in the dictionary on another spelling (I'm, in fact, editing on the Islamist movement in the Netherlands at the moment--but there hasn't been anything in that sending me to the dictionary in well over an hour) and come back and corrected it. I wouldn't be surprised if more than half my postings have that second-chance "edited on" notation at the bottom of the box.

(In today's story, I did the unpardonable--spelling Santa Claus as Santa Clause--which zipped right through my backup reader too. I have a feeling there's no need for me to open the fireplace flue tomorrow night.)

Well, Merry Christmas, anyway dude! :)

and have fun editing that "Islamist movement in the Netherlands" piece. Sounds like a real gas!

It was more than a gas for poor film maker Theo van Gogh, as I'm now reading. Got his throat slit he did for projecting readings from the Koran on the veiled but otherwise naked bodies of lovely young Muslim women.

Must have struck a bit of a nerve. Today's just got 1-bombed.

Who would do that to Mr. Clause during Christmas week?

E-mailed comments such as this more than make up for the snide e-mails pointing out typos and the vindictive bomb voting that has nothing to do with story content :):

"The second series is wonderful. I didn't have a great Christmas, but reading your stories made me feel better. Thank you for writing these stories. I hope you have a great Christmas.
"Thank You."

Those do make a difference, don't they?

I just got this one.

Your stories are so varied and very entertaining but I notice you haven't written in a long time. I hope you'll decide to pick up and write again. Happy Holidays.

Properly chastised, I am.

I hope I can organize my life to be able to write more.

You just need to be restrained to the keyboard....or something.

One anonymous person is reading each of my Lesbian Sex stories, leaving a high 5 and sending me complimentary e-mails on each one asking that I write more.

Thanks whomever you are...I have plans to write more in the near future. :)

Enjoy.

I've been getting a flurry of these, lately. To all of you, you're quite welcome. Hope my tales keep pushing the right buttons for you :D I know I'm tickled about the feedback.

Anonymous recently left the following comment on "Passion of Erika Christensen Ch.5": fantastic job with this series thanks for fighting through the burnout and finishing.

Their vote was my second on the story, both were 5/5.

Thanks for this feedback, Anonymous. You make my writing worth all the emotional conflict I put myself through over it. I appreciate you very much.

Dear Anon....

Yes, I get that you don't like my stuff. Your every vicious negative comment makes that clear. Then again, I don't write for you. I write for myself and those who actually like my writing. It's your loss, as far as I'm concerned. Funny, if you know so much about stories, why don't you try writing one?

Dear Anonymous,

Yes, he did release her hands before he made her spread her labia.

Reply to Anonymous regarding story: Restrained

Dear Anonymous,

What the hell does that even mean? This is NOT a nonconsensual story!!! It is BDSM, which is entirely different. But in any case, your comment is impossible to comprehend, so I don't know if I should say "thank you" or "fuck you"

Love,
Madeline

Not exactly anonymous, but it fits in here quite nicely.

PM quoted in its entirety:

Foxfire, a Chainsaw and a Pig

What's the reason for this story?

Thanks x

My response:

I have to have a reason?!?

Apparently you missed the meeting about stories needing reason. :D

I have to say I have found the 'anonymous' aspect of Lit culture a bit hard to come to terms with.

I am very used to having my stories critted by my fellow-students - not that I have ever had the nerve to show them any erotica! Their comments, whilst not always positive, at least allow me to UNDERSTAND why they are not positive!

It is just amazing to me how many Lit commenters feel the need to hide behind 'anonymous'. I think I have only ever had one totally negative comment from someone who chose to identify her/himself.

I know one very fine writer who has left Lit because she just couldn't take the nastiness of the personal attacks. I am not likely to do that, and neither will I turn off the public comment button. I really want to know what folks think of my writing, and can tolerate the odd bit of crap from 'anonymous', as it is always outweighed by positive comments.

But here is a thought. How about a new competition... for the story which attracts the biggest number of vituperative 'anonymous' comments?

Any support for the idea? It could be a fun challenge! And especially after the outcome had been determined, and one could post announcements all over Lit telling the 'anonymi' that they had been set up and had! Or does anybody have a more creative way of getting back at the bast ... er, interesting people?

I wrote a "Loving Wives" story Trapped that had a monogamous couple who were in love with each other.

The comments were interesting, not all were anonymous, but the Loving Wives category is notorious for its vituperative feedback.

It didn't help that it wasn't one of my better stories and should really have been categorised as "Fetish".

Some time ago the Authors Hangout wrote a chain story "The Worst Chain Story Ever". Despite the deliberately bad writing most people took it as humour. I wrote the first episode Chap 01.

I also tweaked anon's nose with another piece of bad writing - Breathless Stargazing

You have the power to delete any public comments on your stories that you wish. When you do, it has the added benefit (over nullifying it) of pissing off the commenter as long as you are willing to just keep stroking the delete button.

ever heard of rape what an asshole any woman that would write a story like this should be ashamed of her self and be tarred and feathered do us a favor and stop writing until you learn how to put your stories in the right catagory this belongs in the nonconsensual area

So... who wants to tar me and who wants to feather? ;)

I taught for over 20 years. I never fucked a student, but always wanted to. I did however tease them, and give them plenty of glimpses of panties over the years. It was too dangerous to fuck a student, but I would fantasize about the young cocks. Love, xxxxx

Most of the emails I get, anon or not, are highly complimentary. I guess the trolls that like to savage a story figure it defeats their attention-seeking to do so by email.
