Hi Annie, wonderful idea to create this thread. We chatted for a while a couple of years ago while I travelled Australia and you gave me great ideas and suggestions (and a few sissy dares!) back then. The FAQs are brilliant - thanks.

The topic of which apparel has what appeal - borrowed, gifted or forced - omitted purchased in store. I buy my bras and get matching panties in lingerie stores where I get the assistant to help with fitting. It is affirming to hear from a lady that my lingerie fits well and get her suggestions on what to try.

As for purging, only when it is worn out or no longer fits, otherwise Annie is right again. Keep it for a rainy day!

All I can add is "don't purge!" . If at all possible, pack it away, tape it up, bury it under old boxes or something. Every sissy tells me the same thing. The urge always comes back and then you've wasted the money by throwing away your treasures. Great thread. Great conversation.

I am a periodic closet crossdresser. A masculine, married male who from time to time has this urge. I started in high school and into college but really, through most of my life, I stuck to the convention that cross dressing was wrong. My wife whom I love, and has no idea is not supportive at all. I once tried to broach the subject, but she was not even remotely interested, being very conservative. I did have a girlfriend once who was more open and loved seeing me in her panties. But that was short lived.

A few years ago, I was sent to another city on a long term assignment, so I lived in corporate housing alone. This gave me a chance to explore. In the end I bought a small but functional wardrobe. I discovered a female coworker who like helping me, gave me suggestions and encouragement. We actually had a goal of me becoming "passable," going out for girls night, and possibly dating men, if I could functionally pass. I never achieved that goal and in the end, I had to move back home. So all my "stuff" went into the garbage, all but one favorite dress ( a vintage 1920's green flapper dress). It just wasn't practical to box it up and store it at home, or being discovered. I do regret it, but hey, that is what future shopping is all about right?

So yah, by all means keep your stuff if the desire wanes, but also realize we all manage due to circumstances of our lives. Obviously, Annie, you and your husband get to share your desires and how wonderful for you both. It sounds wonderfully exciting. Would I like that, Yes! But I also have a wife who is wonderful in other areas. Its my trade off. Fortunately there are places like LIT and those of you out there who are willing to share.
