There are a set of books that are written by Anne Rice (of Inteview with a vampire fame) with a psuedonym that I can't recall. These books were called something like the sleepy beauty or cinderella chronicles or something. Basically they involved the well known fairytale princess after the fairytale in a very sexual world. THe world was also very S&M based. I only read one of them and there were other titles. Anyone know of what I speak?

Wow under 5 minutes and we have an answer WOOO HOOO

Now are they all of similar qualilty? or?

She wrote under the name A. N. Roquelaure.

The Sleeping Beauty series.

1. The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty.

2. Beauty's Punishment.

3. Beauty's Release.

The second one's pretty good, but the last one was sort of lacking something for me.

Personally, I thought the series was repetitive, boring and somehow lacking in "erotica." Just a bunch of poorly written vignettes tied together with a dubious storyline.

Then again, I can't stand Anne Rice's writing in general.

I thought that the Sleeping Beauty trilogy was very good....
very hot and in some ways, quite risque.......even more than
in her Vampire novels. Great trilogy!

Ahh, my favorite trilogy. Sure to get the juices flowing. What girl wouldn't want those under her tree for Christmas?

I love them so much I lend them out just to get others to read them. My first set was stolen and my second set hasn't been returned yet. Maybe I should just by a case of each and give them as gifts instead.

there's at least two packaged sets of the trilogy at
the Barnes and Noble that I frequent :)

Plus, they do sell the books separately........but I think
its best to have the whole set together.....more for your
money so to speak ;)

tigerjen, I just have to say.. I LOVE your avatar.

From what I recall reading part of all of whichever one I read 3 years ago it was pretty risque but I enjoyed it. However, I never could get into her vampire or other novels, even though I love to read vampire books. Dunno, they just didn't do it for me.

okay, I absolutely *love* anne rice's erotica. I enjoyed Interview With The Vampire and The Vampire Lestat but the other vampire books I haven't enjoyed.

The sleeping beauty trilogy...sigh...reminds me of middle school = ) (where i was when i discovered them)

Exit to Eden...nice, but not that great in the long run. The best part was when Rice refered to her own books as "classics" hehehe love when Authors do that.

But, back to Beauty...if it hadn't been for those books I wouldn't have gotten interested in Erotica, so I'm glad that they're out there.

I'm with Nora on this one.
Interview and Lestat were pretty good. After that the writing declined. I got bored with Queen and couldn't read any more of her books. Don't know anything about her new work though so I could be wrong.

i got through Queen but I can't get past page 100 of the fourth one. My boyfriend, however, has read them all and LOVES them.

I guess the prob for me was that the characters in the first two books "had life". In Queen of the Damned they were stiff and without much development. Didn't like that. Just turned me offf the entire series.
I know a few ppl that just love Anne Rice which is cool but it doesn't turn my crank anymore. I'd much rather read a Vonneget book.

Personally My favorite Ann Rice series was the Mayfair Witches stories (The Witching Hour,Lasher,&Taltos). Interview And Lestat stand up well on their own.

Two others were published under the name A.N Roquilare

Exit to Eden ( a BSDM love story)
and Belinda (her nod to Nabokov)
