Annan Orders Withdrawal of All UN Staff from Iraq

Come on. Let's give Saddam one more chance. He destroyed a whole bunch of missles. C'mon. He's playing ball. See?

Also, giant breaches have been cut in the huge sand berm on the border between Iraq and Kuwait in order for US tanks to move north unimpeded.

And there's a mysterious flu-like bug spreading from Asia to Europe and North America.

Reads a bit like a Tom Clancy novel, no?

Suspension of the Food-for-Oil program is bad news domestically. The US is the biggest consumer of Iraqi oil, importing 1 million barrels a day.

Do I hear $2/gallon?

I marched Saturday on Washington DC - wow! What an experience. Too bad nobody in DC is listening to the rest of the world.......

Do you realize that Coke is $1.39 for a 2-litre bottle? What's the big deal about $2/gallon for gas?

I'm desperate for a regional war

We must take out Iran, Syria and Lebanon

How can it be a regional war if we're taking them out?

And you are saying that there isn't anyone out there that disagree's with you?

I'm not sure I'm understanding your question? I think its too bad GW isn't listening to the rest of the world. I know there's LOTS of people who disagree with me! There's also lots of people who also think war is wrong. hey - I'm just a mom - I love all kids and think they should all have a chance to grow up. silly me.....

Damn, you're spitting out venom everywhere. Glad I looked around so I really don't feel bad about dismissing your posts in the future. You're spoiling for a fight, any reason to get pissy.

Calm down.

Not really spoiling for a fight at all. But, these broad statements and generalizations are begging to be addressed. Sorry, thought someone might want to back up these kinds of statements instead of spouting rhetoric. Oh, and sorry for expressing my opinions. They are not meant to be inflammatory, but, don't speak for me.

Thank you. You made a more appropriate statement about the varied opinions out there. That's all I was addressing. For the record, I am not a "Bushie". For the record, I'm a father and love kids as well. Oh wait, another nice generalization you made about anyone that supports this action, must just want to see our children not grow up.

LMFAO

Pot .. meet kettle ..

quit throwing stones ..

Getting the message yet?

hmmm, didn't mean to generalize. I'm just tired of war. Its not a solution to anything. This war is going to cause so many more problems than it solves. I just wish we'd all hurry up and evolve past the 'war mentality'. I figure we got about 200 more years - if we don't blow ourselves up before then. In the meantime I'm working hard to 'teach our children well'.

No, apparently I am not following how I did that. I am not the one making claims.

Some will never understand the costs paid in the past or realize how good they have it, instead opting to spend the majority of their life complaining about the economy, their jobs, their spouses, the government, and on and on. A recent Medical study showed that people who were more inclined to lean towards the liberal side of things, suffered more heart attacks and stress related illnesses. Always looking at the glass as being half full might catch up to you.

Now, that I understand completely. I don't like or want war either.

I really don't think societies will ever get past the war mentality.

I am sorry for sounding so combative, as I am really not that way.

Sorry for the short, choppy sentences, but, I am typing in a hurry. ;)

All the French/German/Russians are going..

Or have left already.
What I find alarming, is the threat from those countries to make this operation illegal.
I say bring it on, because this will put the UN on notice to get out of the US, and relocate to a country of their choosing.
Furthermore, when the records are located in Baghdad, the full picture of their support for the Iraqi war machine will become known.
Hopefully, this will help sever our ties to the conflict resolution aspect of the UN, and leave them to what they do best, appease each other's rape of their population's money, and national identities.

No problem 8ball. Its a highly emotional topic. Being at the march Saturday was very enlightening. I in no way pretend to know everything about this whole mess. Hell I only know a little bit. But I know that everyone will suffer from it - and I"m not sure who will gain anything from it. And I can still hope that some day men will learn that killing peole to teach them not to kill people isn't a very good way to teach that lesson. Its like fucking for virginity.?????

Do you realize that UNICEF estimates that 5000 children under the age of 5 die EACH month? Those children don't have a chance as long as Saddam Hussein remains in power. He fills his bank accounts, buys materials for weapons.....oh and if there's any left over, he buys food for the people of his country.

But there are LOTS of countries that do that, not just Iraq. Do you know how many children go to bed hungry right here in the US? Bombing Iraq to save their children from starving? That doesnt' make any sense......
