Anime

I prefer the dubs. It's all dubed in the end anyway, and I'm not a fan of Japanese voices. Too high and whiney for me.

I love the Vampire Hunter D movies as well. Very well done and enjoyable, even with the first one being a little anticlimactic in its ending. The finial fight could have been a little more grande.

!! silly me, I didn't consider that!! and yes now that I think of it sub would be much better!!

I think I got the link to watch Hikaru online from Shonen Jump.

Yeah. Bleach is great and Death Note too ( the same artist does Hikaru no Go) Also reading Crying Freeman...nice art and some good sex scenes too.

Thanks!!

Hikaru no Go is an excellent anime. GO is a very popular game in Asia and this anime is quite well known in the asian circles.

Try the subs and tell me if you like it better. :)
You are welcome :rose:

Yeah, it takes a bit of getting used to the Japanese voices. But once I did I couldn't get away from the subs. But each to his/her own, right?

Cool, I'll have to check that one...

As for sub vs dub, I do find that There is a little better in quality on most subs (a lot more on some) but often not enough better to warrant the concentration needed to watch after the first time...These days though, most DVDs have both capabilities...

And on a related note, haven't heard anyone comment on Hentai (aside from a brief tentacle refference ;) )

Eheh. The theme song started just when I read this post.
It's such a sad episode. But the next Hokage is pretty cool.

GRRRRRRrrrrrrr! Due to technical difficulties, the last 5 minutes or so were cut! Including the scenes from next episode!

Yes, I noticed. That was quite annoying. I can't remember what's in the next episode, but they don't get to the new Hokage until a few more episodes though.

it has a few flaws, but worth seeing.

So have you seen it or from reading the Manga? Personally, I've been impressed by how closely they've followed the manga...

I watched the fansub online before the show was licensed in the States. I haven't had a chance to read the manga yet, and I only watched up to episode 140. Even without having read the manga, I could see a difference when they got into the filler episode. They just lacked part of the storytelling quality.

I had a subscription to Shonen Jump Mag, and they run it every month in there...along with One Piece, Shamman King, Hikaru No Go, YuGiOh and usually one or two others...It['s well worth it, I've just been too lazy to renew my subscription

One thing I really like about FMA is that they aren't afraid to make bad things happen to the good guys, their lives aren't perfect. But FMA is my favorite, as DL said, lol. But here are some of the ones that I like...

FMA
Rouroni Kenshin (especially the OVA movies)
Naruto
Bleach
Cowboy Beebop *can sing the full 6 minute theme song along with the music*
DragonBall series (until GT cause then they turned Gohan into a major pussy whipped wuss)
Inu-Yasha
Yu-yu Hakusho

But at the mention of hentai by hubby all I have to say is...

HYPER ERECTION MODE! *runs away giggling*

We have a growing collection of Hentai...I think 7 or 8 by now on DVD...and of course, Sailor and the Seven Balls... :D

This seems to be more of an anime series thread, but I second TGP on Vampire Hunter D. That was the first anime film I ever watched and the sequel (Bloodlust) is just breathtaking. Also, Script bought me Hellsing for Christmas a couple years ago and I was totally geeked on that for awhile.

As a side note, we usually watch the dubbed version. The art in anime is so eye-catching, I find it hard to read along and keep up with the story. But thta's just me.

I'm the same way...

And never fear, there's been quite a bit of mention of movies too, it's just we can see the series on TV these days, while we still have to go out and buy the movies...

Oh, and ANYTHING MIAZAKI!!!!
