Is it just me or do other people get really aroused by simple cartoons?
Am I strange? I find some of the more explicit ones are a huge turn on.
Can anyone explain the attraction?

Can't explain the attraction nope.

Can say some toons are hot :D

Then again, so many are drawn to be bad teases :)

I agree so that are drawn well with a good story. Are amazing

That could be it too, some anime have a better character build up then "normal series" we have on TV.

Of course some series just overload you with panty shots, not really sophisticated but sometimes damn effective.

The range of anime and manga porn covers just about everything imaginable

Anime/manga does cover a wide spectrum many of which are quite erotic. Plus tyere is something to be said about seeing innocent toons that you grew up watching doing dirty things:devil:

I love looking at hentai. It turns me on. The only anime I like watching has to have erotic stuff in it like up skirt shots, big breasts etc

Well, I'm a burgeoning manga and anime nerd, and there are several reasons I can come up with off the top of my head.

A. Vibrant colors are very attractive. I've never seen a woman with golden eyes and thick, neon green hair down to her knees wearing a slinky, bright red dress. If I ever did, you can bet I'd be all over her.

B. Neoteny.

C. A hell of a lot can be done in drawings that can't be done with humans. Massive boobs that look perky and awesome and not saggy or obviously enhanced with implants, cocks the size of a forearm, buckets of come, wild hair, impossible situations, impossible creatures, and so on.

D. The lack of strong detail in many manga and anime characters allows the reader or viewer to sort of fill in the blanks with his imagination. A lot of Western comics go nuts with shadows, muscle and sinew lines, and wrinkles, and that often ruins the sex appeal for me.

E. I am an absolute sucker for beautiful eyes, and eyes are easily the dominant facial feature of most female manga characters.

Sort of both adding to and extrapolating from this, I think the primary attraction to artistic depictions in general is that the abstractness both highlights preferential elements and leaves them unclear enough to fill in the blanks as you like.

For example, a "beautiful girl" in an art book that isn't drawn realistically might be appealing to someone because the abstract stimuli "soft eyes", "smooth hair", and "tight body" are what the viewer picks up on. It doesn't matter that these are abstractions rather than a concrete example in the form of a photograph, because the brain takes the abstract values and associates them with pleasure.

This often happens in a chain reaction, I think - such as a depicted female's gaze being interpreted as lusty, and that lust then being interpreted as an incarnate desire. In other words, we can project fantasy easily onto less concrete "women" because of how we associate certain stylistic appearances with concepts and desires. It's more difficult to do the same with a still photograph. That difficulty increases further if one is concerned about objectifying women - something that's more of a distant thought if you're looking at drawn characters.

If this sounds a bit outlandish or complex, consider that we associate emotions with inanimate objects. Just like someone might get angry at their computer or feel attachment toward their car, one can feel desire for something that abstractly resembles attractive characteristics - especially when there are artistic staples present that are intended to communicate things like "This woman is desirable" or "This woman is about to orgasm" - which can't be done in stills. For example, manga has sound effects, stock facial expressions, and so on. Photos don't have similar counterparts (that I'm aware of).

Ok, does anyone have some nice links to view? and I've never heard of tyere, going to investigate now lol
