This is a special time of year that has me thinking........Where I would love to makes wishes come true......but that is one thing I can not do......but wishes I could do.

Here are some of mine........if there are any you wish to add....please do so......because out of all of them maybe one will come true.......for miracles do happen.

I wish there was no sadness....only happiness

I wish the war will end and our children will come home.

I wish all cancer will be cure.

I wish my friends will be in no pain.

I wish for my 90-year-old grandmother a most joyous and memorable Christmas this year, and that we have her with us next Christmas, as well.

I wish a safe, loving, peaceful, joyous Chanukah, Christmas, or Kwanzaa to those who celebrate those holidays.

I wish good health and a renewed sense of self-worth to those who may be ill or who feel they have nothing to offer this world.

I wish for freedom for those in societies where freedom is a foreign concept.

I wish for enough food to feed not just the starving in ther countries, but also the starving right here in our own country, in our own neighborhoods and communities.

I wish for a mild winter, that the homeless in this country do not suffer the wrath of bitter winds and seemingly endless snowstorms.

I wish for shelter this winter, or even longer-term housing for the homeless of this country and the world.

I wish that, if not during this holiday season, then certainly in the coming new year, those without jobs, those who want or need to work, find a job and the sense of relief and pride in bringing home a paycheck once again.

I wish, for one month, that the sound of snowflakes falling on the tongues of children and the laughter it causes overpowers the deafening sounds of war around the world.

I wish for our servicewomen and men to remain strong and come home safely, from wherever they may be, as soon as possible, walking through the door of the place they call home, into their families' loving arms.

Lastly, I wish to start over, to re-gain Lit. friends lost, to be given a second chance, that they may get to know the real person behind the Lit. nick.
