Hey Lit folks, let's send our thoughts and prayers and whatever works on out to Ange. I just heard from her and she's just returned home from yet another hospital stay. If nothing else, send her tons of love vibes to make her feel good. Remember, it's cold in them Maine woods.

Dear Ang... (note to a sickbed sister)

Remember when you settle in with your head upon the pillow
that those who love and cherish you, are here to hold your hand.
Don't regret that your flesh is weak and though your spirit's willing,
the tasks you need accomplished must pass incomplete, for now.
Love understands your helplessness. You're not to fear the thoughts
that were you a healthy person all you could do would be done.
Your heart's soul knows that if you were able, you'd lift from him
the daily tasks of care and worry and bear them up, yourself.
You have the hardest duty, now. Your work has just begun.
Do not falter in the task ahead. Get better soon.

:rose: :rose: :rose: Be well, A.

(Ps, those must be the sappiest teddybears ever.)

The Bear

May you get well soon, Angelina. I don't know you very well, but here's a sappy bear poem to go with the teddybears LeBroz sent you.

I love this little stuffed dark bear.
Its eyes are open wide.
It stares at me and cuddles where
I place it by my side.
Its tiny, furry, cute round head
Does not contain a thing,
But pillow fluff to lump my bed
And help my warm heart sing.

Ange...

my dear friend...sending :rose: 's and  's and love. Be well dear sister. Your family is here for you.

Thank you all. I won't be around much for a while, but your good thoughts are a real comfort.

Can I borrow those bunny slippers? My toes are freezing.

Oh yeah? Well we're getting a foot of snow on Wednesday. So there! (But it IS a balmy 11 degrees farenheit here) ;)

Ange, is this all a play to get up up there to kick you ass? Are you trying to hold out for some form of torturous formal poetry. It isn't going to work dammit!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get well, baby......

We got all of our snow when the east was being threatened with a green Christmas... I have never seen this much white precipitation in this part of Alberta -- never ever. << The little blue guys aren't asphyxiating, they're hypothermic. Poor buggers.

Is this an offering of an, as yet unwritten, Fool-ish terzanelle?

We've had about a dozen days of double-digit below so far this year but surprisingly little snow. It's supposed to start snowing Wednesday morning though and keep up through Saturday. Eagleyez has mission impossible tomorrow morning--to battle the hoardes of insane Mainers at the supermarket so we have some food to go along with our cabin fever. Oh and then he gets to do laundry. I get to stay home and watch jazz videos on youtube.

Yeah he really does love me lol.
