My spiffy new tablet arrived this morning and I've been loading it up with stuff. Kindle reader, Skype, Acrobat, FB, Twitter, utorrent and a shitload of books so far. Any other must haves? It's running ICS, btw.

Which tablet?

TripAdvisor a must have for me. Travelocity. Weather Channel.

You're going to DL torrents on a tablet? Isn't that going to get filled up pretty quickly?

Better to DL on a desktop/laptop and transfer over to the tablet, no?

A 1gig file is a 1 gig file whether you torrent it or share it over a network.

yeah but i think what iman means is if you stick it directly onto your tablet you'll eventually have to delete it to make space for new shit, whereas if you put it on your desktop you can keep it for as long as you desire.

altho i suppose there's no practical difference in dling to desktop, then xfering to tablet, vs dling it to tablet and then subsequently xfering to desktop if you wish to keep that file.

except that your tablet most likely has less ram than the desktop and that may affect your dl speed, esp if you're using the tablet for other things too i suppose

You're not gonna report me, right?

I meant more in terms of housekeeping. I tend to DL anything and everything that catches my eye on the desktop, but only transfer over the things I really want to watch/listen to onto the tablet.

What the intuitive cookie said.

That's what I thought, I can always dump it onto the PC when I'm done. I'll probably d/l onto the PC mostly anyway, a quick test showed the d/l speed is way faster. But it's handy to have for a quick book d/l or something like that.

If you have lg phone box gives you 50 GB free then put the app on your tablet I think they also do the same with nexus.
Avg is a must.
Also if you have a nexus 7 get nexus media importer so you can use a otg.

good point. books and music!

I got an iPad. I got weather, news and Angry Birds. The kids got all kinds of shit. I don't know what. It's not like I use it much. Seems more a toy than anything. I'd much rather be on a laptop.

Oh, that one where you run through the jungle. Tomb Runner? Something like that. It's fun. Be more fun if they played Run Through the Jungle during the game.
