The wonderful thing about the web is that we can be whoever we want to be and no one will ever know, except the writer. We all post for different reasons. Some are interesting and some are not. Like most things, content and interest is pretty subjective.

I chose the name FlamingoBlue to use on the web because it adds a layer of protection to my real life persona, sorta like an "image" condom.
However, what you see of me here is no different than what you see of me in my natural surroundings. I just feel safer, this way.

In the past few days I have read a few posts that truly are intriguing to me as they both referenced my alter ego, blue. Neither of them made any sense to me, but, then again, lots of stuff blows by me. Maybe the writers could explain their motivation and meaning for me.

You know how sometimes tall guys get the nickname "Shorty" or chubby guys get the nickname "Slim".

Something like that...I don't know of any in particular...but it is one method of choosing a nickname...

Mine came about through a long series of flirtations on another BB and Yahoo IM...started with a joke about Elmer Fudd and snowballed...

That is a really good point!

I have noticed that a great deal of frequenters here are quite shy in RL and I find it so intriguing how many of them have ultra sexy and daring names!
