As I read brat's thread I was reminded of an incident that occurred several years ago when my son was in Middle School. He had a very strong friendship with girl who found that she wanted the company of another boy, instead of him. He was crushed and angry. He called her a slut. We talked about it.

I asked him to define a slut for me. He told me that it was a girl that did all kinds of "things" with boys. I asked him what he called the boys that did those "things" with girls. Were they heros to the him and the other boys because they did "things" with girls?? He was confused and I tried to explain the old double standard to him as well as I could to a 12 year old.

So you're on a business trip and you see Mr. X leaving Ms. Y's room late at night or early in the morning. What's your 1st thought? Ladies? Gentlmen?
