Some people wait until the first. Some wait longer.

I've already started putting some things away. Tomorrow more will go. Over the next week the tree, lights, candles, garland and other trinket will disappear gradually, relegated to their boxes and storage areas until next year.

Leftover food will get portioned and frozen or otherwise stored for snacking over the next week or so.

New things need to find a place in closets or drawers, etc.

Then get back into the mode of walking and other outdoor activities to try and burn off the junk food. At least as long as the weather holds in case Winter ever decides to set in for real.

Trying to decide if it's worth it to go bulb by bulb and find the burnt out ones or just throw the whole damn string away.

I haven't even gotten my fairy lights up yet ;)

We'll take limited food to the cabin. It will be a great week.

Our large Christmas Star that we have displayed for ten Christmases expired during the night.

It will have to be disposed of in Electrical recycling. :(

This year I put up a total of five pieces of Christmas ornaments.

Celebrations happened at other relatives' places, so I don't have to deal with the leftovers... not to mention the dishes.

And since I'm moving house in about four weeks, I told everyone long ahead DON'T GIVE ME STUFF. Stuff just means more things I have to pack or throw away. My loot pile of gifts consists of gift cards, tickets and vitual goods.

Easiest Christmas ever.

My wife conveniently made plans to go out shopping with a couple of friends all day today.

I called my brother in law and was bitching about it and he told me my sister was one of the ones going out with my wife:rolleyes:

Nothing goes up, so nothing has to come down.

Couldn't be simpler.

The operative term in Xmas Day is "day".

They all end in "y" so's I treat 'em all pretty much the same.

Ornaments and lights will be on sale cheap now.

We did no Xmas decoration this year. Not really needed; the house is like an ethnic crafts museum anyway. Put point red hats on a couple of santos and that's enough. Air colored lasers at the surrounding evergreen forest. Easy-peasy.
