(UPI)-Economic refugees Joseph and Mary Goldberg were detained at the border 2 days ago after fleeing poverty and Government oppression in their homeland. The two were separated and sent to different facilities, even though Mary was in late term pregnancy.

During the night Mary went into labor. Other women in the chain-link compound tried to assist with the birth but had only mylar blankets to offer. Due to the mother's poor physical condition she and the baby were in life threatening condition when found the next morning.

The mother and child were sent back across the border to a hospital on that side and both are in intensive care with little chance of survival. The father, who was sent to a detention facility in another state, could not be located.

Three Wise Men who showed up at the facility seeking the family were also turned away by authorities and told to "go back to your shit hole countries. Especially you, the black one."

God, making a rare public appearance at a Boston benefit performance of "The Nutcracker" was asked to comment. After laughing heartily he said, "I tried to warn you suckers. Y'all are in some deep doo-doo now."
