Watch him now and think a fuck again.....

Nope....

He ain't perfect.

But he's a lot fuckin' better than the Daddy's Boy we got now.

Agreed. I would vote for him for any office he wants to run for, at least if I legally can vote for him from my hometown of Syracuse, NY

I've been following the coverage in NYC all morning. I think he's been brilliant and caring through the entire ordeal.

and remember the name Evan Bayh.......he will be Giuliani's Vice -President

Oh yeah?

I guess that's what he deserves for insisting against all logic that his super-duper, new emergency command center, filled with all the latest high-tech gadgets and personnel, should be located high up in WTC No. 7, right next door to a famous terrorist target. No. 7 collapsed tonight, and we can hope Rudy's hapless emergency employees got out in time. That 30-year lease won't be such a problem anymore. The media have been very kind about avoiding the subject today, but rest assured that New Yorkers are very aware of what constitutes one of Rudy's two stupidest acts as mayor (the other was maligning a man that his cops had just shot for being outraged when they insisted he sell them some pot).

Screw Rudy. I'm fucking crying about the 200 firefighters (!!!!!!!!!!!!!), 70 cops, and countless EMTs who seem to have gotten killed trying to help. That's fucking SICKENING!

I'm with U dude, We need to focus on the tragaties that occured today, not political campaighs. What about the 266 passengers, 25 crewmembers, and 8 pilots that died because some peaple had to resort to terroristic violence to prove a point, whatever it is. We humans are INCREADABLY STUPID when it comes to inter-personal communication and of convieyance of religios idealisms.

what is it with you people ?
the guy is doing an impossible job and you want to slag him off because you dont agree with all his policies .
do you think it would make a flying fuck worth of difference where the command center is to all the people who are laying dead now ?
this is an attrocity that could only have been avoided by shooting the planes out of the sky.........they dont have a chapter for that in the hostage negotiators handbook.
the real villians here are the agressors who have killed thousand of innocent people from all over the world.
not a "CITY MAYOR" doing his best to clean up an impossible mess

it is too easy to stand in judgement with the benefit of hindsight

Irrelevant

first of all, Guiliani is a fascist who hates the arts and public freedoms and sacrifices civil liberties so that his city will look "clean." Don't comment unless you're from New York City and have the first clue about what he has wrought. K?

Secondly, why not just be silent out of respect for the dead and stop pushing political agendas you've crafted from watching a man on TV for all of five minutes. K?

would you rather have art galleries and dirty streets ?
you call the man a fascist but want to deny others the right to make political comments?
is guillani in the same category as
hitler
mussolini
franco
gadaffi
stalin
noriega
pol pot
sadam
galtieri
mugabe
castro
bokassa
papa doc
babydoc duvalier
or just a city mayor that wants clean streets and subways that run on time?

Whatever, Frankie....K?

BTW, Did youy pick up that name in the mob? You really ought to audition for the Sopranos with a handle like that.

ummm, no. He's not. Nor did I say he was. There are millions of fascists who aren't also murderous dictators. Nice list though.

And I'm not denying you the right to do anything. I'm giving my opinion. You can choose to ignore it, and that's your perogative. Guiliani is able to turn his opinions (including creating a "Decency Commission" on what represents art and what doesn't) into policy. Big difference.

And the subways running on time? Huh? What does that have to do with Guiliani at all? I don't think he's ever said word one about the subways. Although it's only fair I point out that whenever someone would knock Mussolini, his supporters would point out that he made the trains run on time.

As for my handle, yes, it's from Godfather II. Wacky!

ok well now

I direct all the people throwing mud and lighting flames to mistress's snuggle thread. If congress can be nice and sing God Bless america then you all can act civil. Now go on scoot over to the thread and share some snuggles.

I don't believe it. I actually agree with you on this if it is true that he was foolish enough to put a command center right in the lap of the WTC.

Each of those workers who died trying to help others are true heros in my book.

The dead are dead, silence does them no good at all.

And this was not a "campaign thread" for Rudy.

Believe me - I have my problems with the man. As I do with GW. As I do with all politicians. As I do with all men, any human.

I have problems with society and "what it has become" in general.

But - everything is measured by comparative, relative - balance. And Rudy's job record tips far toward the positive than the negative.

He will go down in NYC history as it's greatest Mayor - until someone better comes along.

And - comparativley - he would make a great Prez.

A lot better than the one we have now.

I have never been a fan of GW, but after watching his speech last night, I at least have a new found respect for the man, as I have tremendous respect for Rudy. But ultimately, both men are simply doing their jobs..........as Americans, I think that it is important to save our negative thoughts for the cowards that didn't have the balls to attack our military, that had to strike at helpless civilians.

Props to all levels of government, all rescue workers, all medical personnel in NYC, and all citizens giving blood.

I Agree with Giuliani

Rudy is doing an impossible job. And although some people think that he shouldn't have put his emergency response offices in the World Trade Center, think to yourself: wasn't that the logical place?

Rudy is not a fascist. He is not Hitler or Stalin or Saddam Hussein. He did a good job of evacuation Lower Manhattan, and he kept the city as calm as he could in a time of crisis.

Kudos to Rudy. He did what a lot of us couldn't do, and if you think you can do any better, you go run for mayor. I don't think you want that headache, do you? (That last sentence is for the people bashing his policies.)

Yes he's better than Dubya.....but he is not Presidential material. His reactions to people he doesn't agree with is babyish. His handing of the Brooklyn Museum issue (I dont like this art, so I dont want ANYONE to see it) is censorship, and did more to attract people than if he had ignored the issue.

Guiliani is NYC's greatest mayor? What about Fiorello LaGuardia. Until someone writes a musical and names an airport about Rudy, he will pale to LaG.

doing the best he can

I say that Giuliani is doing the best he can for
the city right now.........I think putting an emergency
command center in 7 WTC was dumb.....but regardless,
politics today and in the next few days here will
not be a priority. The priority is to help those who
have still yet to be found, to comfort those who have
lost fellow co-workers, family, and friends in this
tragedy.

in terms of Rudy being president, I cannot answer
that because I don't live in NYC........but then again
I don't like Dubya anyway.........W aint gonna finish
his 4 years in office....wait and see!

My thoughts and prayers go out to all today!

No, it was NEVER the logical place, and when people pointed this out, Rudy mocked and scorned them, as he does to anyone who disagrees with him. He vowed to take the money from other budget items, spend it, and let the courts sort it out (an attitude that explains why the City of New York is paying out hundreds of millions of dollars in settlements to people whose rights were knowingly violated during his term as mayor). Typicaly, he signed an extremely long lease (30 years ro something), so future mayors would be stuck with HIS brilliant plan. No one of any consequence in NYC ever supported his bunker, which has been the object of public derision since he announced it. But he did what he wanted, which is all that ever matters to him. And others went along out of fear, which has always been Rudy's best partner. It may be that the media will continue to be limitlessly kind to him about his "bunker," but NYers are very aware of the cruel joke. And questions should and must be asked as to how well the "bunker' functioned yesterday, if at all. There is little question that rescuers were stationed - and reained - in harm's way underneath the towers, even as they both burnt. It takes nothing away from the incredible heroism and generousity of the firefighters, cops, emergency medical technicians, and citizens if we ask how well the rescue operations were actually MANAGED. I fear that many lost their lives unnecessarily. It makes me sick. Rudy was no hero yesterday - the people on the ground were.

You can dislike W all you want. He is the right man for the job, given the choices we had.

In any event, he IS the President of the United States; he will rise to the occasion now in the country's hour of need.

Suggesting that he will not finish his first term is rather rash, given the climate right now. Might be perceived by some as a threat to him and the office.

He better use his tiny brain!

W better use his brain in this mess.........

I am entitled to my opinion anyway....1st
amendment!!! I heard from someone I know
that W may not complete his presidency due to
an international crisis......don't know if this is
it though!

Boy that Miss Cleo sure gets around, always trust psychics I say:rolleyes:

Rudy made the most memorable comment I heard in all the coverage I watched yesterday: "This is possibly the most heinous act in the history of the World." I kinda cringed at that one.
