Ancient Land

Sounds good. I was initially under the impression the Daimyo traveled with just a few guards, but if there were several units, then, of course, it'd look better if the samurai made his entire unit survive and win. I like the decoy ploy too!

Akemi (means Brilliant, Beautiful): wife to the Daimyo, to all from the outside, she seems to be the normal Japanese wife, meek and subservient, however, she rules the household servants with an iron fist and brooks no disobedience...

She's taller than the average Japanese female by a few inches and actually walks slightly bent in front of company so as not to be taller than her husband. Her long raven tresses are seen in all their glory only by her husband as during the day, they are kept bound up behind her head in the normal custom. Her eyes are a bright and brilliant blue. Her body is curved in all the right places. Her breasts are no more than small handful, but her nipples are large and very sensitive.

KAIDA (Little dragon)

is a 20yr old peasant. She is out in the market in the next town when she hears a ruckus. Making her way through the crowd, she finds that it is the daimyo. She makes her way to him and starts to lead him to her place. While there....her husband, the daimyo, and guards work out a plan to try to get the daimyo home safely.

Would a personal servant to the daimyo's wife be acceptable? If not, I will be a poor, young, peasant girl who has just started to serve the daimyo.

Personally, I would prefer to have the later idea in the thread. Personal servants do have have as good a place in Japan. I would rather have you as a member of the family or possibly the wife or daughter of a samurai who fell into disfavor with an enemy of this daimyo and was sent here for protection.

Sure, being a daughter of a samurai who was disgraced, then had to flee herself sounds good.

Actually, disgraced is the wrong terminology. If a samurai was actually disgraced, his family was either killed with him or given to someone else. Usually the someone else would be the enemy in this case.

Disfavor would not kill the samurai. Disfavor would just make him unable to serve the other daimyo. It could be he helped this daimyo by accident and then his daimyo was upset, threatening to attack hte samurai's house. The daimyo would be able to seize the samurai's property and threaten his family.

The bad daimyo could be known for been a bit strong on those who fall into disfavor. Thus the samurai could have sent his family to stay with the daimyo in our thread.

I really need to bone up on ancient Japanese culture it seems :D

Hoping this will attract a few more

Ikkura Keiji (just for reference, last name is first...)

Daimyo of a large area. known for leading with an Iron thumb. Fair to his people but very just. STrict on honor. Like most daimyos has a few enemies, several of who are very powerful. he is the third most powerful daimyo next tot eh shogun, so most people respect him. One of his enemies is the next in line.

Daimyo Keiji Ikkura is a powerful man in Nara era Japan. He has the emperor's ear quite often and is a friend to a great many at court.

Physically, the daimyo will be a true samurai. Very physically fit and able to handle a sword. He will wear a sword at all times when away from the house, even on his lands. He will be in his late thirties and happily married with no children. (this could change if we have someone wanting to play a late teenage daughter or son.) He will respect his wife and be very able to manage.

This should give a better Idea of what I'm planning. If we want to continue this idea, post a message here, please. Just intro your character like this and I will post the tru thread in a day or two. Everyone ready?

I'm sorry I'm so late to post. Was too busy and then it just escaped my attention.

Anyway, just wondering if this is still alive or if there are plans to revive it. So many people even created their characters - nice characters, too! - for this and then, nothing. :( Personally, I love the idea and I'd really hate to see it just wither away. Let's do it! :)

I'd love for it to take off but we only have two characters posted here. If anyone wants to join in, pls do.

Actually, I've counted at least 5 different characters, though not all of them had in depth descriptions.

So, Who's all in for the final start? let's figure that out and I will start this after the start of teh year.

I'm in as the daimyo's samurai. I may have to drop out later if there aren't any appropriate female characters to play with. The daimyo's wife is, obviously, off limits and the peasant is (I think?) too low in class to make a relationship socially acceptable in that time. A daimyo's daughter would be great, but if not, a daughter of his samurai or a widow of his samurai, would be nice.

Actually, if I continue with my plan to owe the peasant woman, she would rise in status and thus be in a proper status to be allowed for the samurai.

I start on planning this by the end of the week. I will name it something with Japan and when in the name...

Right now there are lots of available roles. What are you interested in playing? The wife is taken as is the peasant female. I would rather not have any servants but there is the possibility of the daimyo's daughter. Post whatever kind of a character you want here and we can fit you in.

A character discription would be nice. She should be arround 18, so anything else is up to you. (Lit requires 18...)
