Clean is a relative term here. With anal sex you inevitably pick up bacteria from the contact (and possibly other, more virulent little creatures) but you're not likely to get large quantities of waste matter on your member, which appears to be what you suspect, unless your partner is more ready for the bathroom than the bedroom. Most responsible advisors recommend condom use during anal sex for both reasons.
