In theory and on paper your response is correct, BUT...

I "lost" a medium sized plug one morning after a nice wake up session. The flange was not any larger than the bulb, so nature did it's thing. After five minutes of sheer panic I was able to retrieve it and save an embarrassing trip to the ER!!!
