No personal experience. I have seen pics of them, some come with a ball on the end and some without. Were I going to use one on someone I would make sure it was one with a ball. The tissue inside the rectum is paper thin and you do not want to chance a tear up inside.

No life experience with them yet, but that's a strong -yet.- I've wanted one for years. I'll more than likely buy one with a straight end, not the ball kind. It just looks more comfortable to start with. I've got lots of bondage rope; it's going to take some experimenting to construe how best to tie it. I prefer porn scenes where the hook is tied from above rather than directly to the back of the woman's hair.

I typically buy from two sites. Both have them, though stockroom.com has a better selection. Just type in "anal hook" into the search box. Extremerestraints.com only has one that I see...

I bought mine from TwistedMonk.com. I got the medium sized one but now I wish I had bought the larger. A ball on the end was a requirement for me. It just seems safer to me.

We've only played with it once so far. Since it was a new toy for both of us we were a bit conservative. The one I bought is nice and heavy. It feels great while getting flogged.

I look forward to having it used with tighter bondage situations.

I came here to post about this in HT. Sir bought an anal hook for us, but he hasn't chosen to use it on me yet . He did however say I could use it on Lynn, but I don't know where to start. It is a big heavy thing with the large ball on the end.

My ideas so far are:

1. Her on her tummy with the hook tied to her hair so Sir can face fuck her. I would love to tie it to a noose around her neck, but rope burns under her chin my raise some eyebrows.

2. I tie the rope to the hook over her head so she has to stand on her tip toes and cuff her hands to her collar behind her neck. Then I torture her boobs as long as I think she can keep on her toes. My fear here is that if she loses her balance and all her weight ends up on the hook she could be injured. On the other hand she wouldn't so much fall as swing and there would be no abrupt stop.

I know it's weak, but that's all I have so far. Sir says he has more ideas, but his is saving them for use on me . (Please be soon!)

Yes, I consider the one with the ball on the end to be safer as well as more sexual. The ball acts kind of like a butt plug. And the ball would be safer, if there ever was an accident.

Something to think about when purchasing one of these is to make sure the welds are very smooth. Look around the ball, where it connects to the shaft. Tissue in the anal canal is very soft and so it won't take very much to irritate, scrape or even cut it.

Some will be raw steel, which is fine, as long as it has been buffed down smooth. Even better, if it is chrome coated, but even the chrome won't take the place of buffing it down smooth, first. The smoother the better, for safety as well as keeping it clean.

If you prefer one without the ball on the end, make sure that tip is also very smooth and not too pointy. Just think of what can go wrong if it were to be accidentally pushed too far into the anus. And those with a ball might be safer but don't think they are totally safe. Always assume something can go wrong when playing with one of these things. Anticipating and planning for what could go wrong will make it less likely something will go wrong.

Hanging is possible as long as it cups the spine and is snug in tight so there is no possibility of slippage and additional penetration of unknown folds. The model is also a variable that must be contemplated, some have the loop located halfway up the long side of the "J" also the "J" can be too open for suspension and only meant as an anal accessory not a suspension technique.

Anal hooks of any sort should never be used as weight bearing suspension, devices. The risk of injury is just too great.
