An Unlikely Alliance (Closed for CoSurvivor)

Ana could feel her heart pounding hard in her chest with excitement and anticipation as Chance's hands grabbed her ass and lifted her as his eyes locked with hers. When he then began to lower her down onto him her eyes remained on his as her mouth fell open in a silent 'O' at the pleasure of being filled by him again. His lips crashed against her own and her eyes drifted shut as she moaned into the kiss at the sensations he stirred to life within her as he moved in and out of her.

The sound of her name upon his lips fanned the flames of her own desire higher, making her temperature rise despite the coolness of the water around them and causing her heart to give a little leap at the sound. She began to move against him, her body matching the rhythm that he had begun as she rocked her hips forward in time with his thrusts.

"Oh gods, Chance..." she gasped as her hands moved up over the back of his neck and thread their fingers up into his hair at his nape and the back of his head.

the sounds of Ana's voice added to his desire for her, and the fact that they'd coupled so quickly after their first experience only seemed to make him desire her more. Slowly his cock throbbed in and out of Ana, her warm breath against his neck sent tingles of pleasure cascading through him, and Chance simply couldn't find the words to express how he felt.

As he held her pulling her down on to him as he pushed deep inside, Long groans of pleasure escaped his lips, and Chance knew he couldn't keep this position up for long. Seeking a better option, he carried Ana to the edge of the water, in the direction they'd just come from. When the water level receded to just above his knees, Chance slowly lowered them both into the water till he was sitting with Ana in his lap.

"We can still get clean...and be just a little more comfortable..." He said, a bright smile across his face as he welcomed Ana to make herself comfortable. With slow gentle kisses, Chance just enjoyed the moment he had no expectation of what should happen next, only that he'd appreciate Ana in his arms for as long as she was there. They 'd return to their trek into the depths of the world momentarily, but for now, he wanted to just be right here with her. With his cock now wedged between their warm bodies, Chance certainly wanted to be back inside her, but seeing as he didn't want to press Ana, he decided to let her move next.

Ana had stilled as Chance had carried her back towards the water's edge and lowered them both to a sitting position, a little confused by his actions. Surely he did not mean to end their second coupling so quickly, not when she could feel his cock still hard and pressing against her as she sat in his lap in the water. As he spoke though understanding quickly dawned on her and she nodded, realizing that their earlier position in the water had just been too difficult to maintain. As eager as she was to have him back inside of her however, she could not resist teasing him just a bit.

"Mmmm... get clean?..." she questioned with a smirk as she leaned forward and kissed him softly.

She slid her hands down the front of his chest into the water and then back up again slowly over his chest, shoulders, and then upper arms; making little trickles and droplets run down his bare skin.

"What part should I wash first then?" she asked coyly.

Chance couldn't help but feel a bolt of lightning flow through him from his heart to his cock as Ana expressed a desire to wash him, Where would be the best place to start, his eyes darted below the water at his ever increasing hardness. He desperately wanted to pull Ana up by her hips and sit her down on his cock, but she was being a wonderful tease.

Her hands, got dangerously close to his cock when they descended below the water line, and when she got so close, his eyes closed, letting out a subtle groan of need and desire.

"I think...I think my chest would be a good place to start..."

He followed his comment by looking ever closer at her nipples, he smiled to her and in a voice just above a whisper, he said "I think your left nipple looks a little dirty. Let me get that for you..."

His hands grasped her hips pulled her up just enough for his cock to settle underneath her, just as he swirled his tongue around her left nipple. Damn if he didn't want Ana, he wanted her hands and lips around his cock, but he desired her heat twenty times more...
Pulling her just a smidge closer, he could feel the head of his cock slowly press into the entrance of her pussy, the heat welcoming him. Chance released her nipple from his mouth and leaned back pulling Ana slowly down on him.

"Yes, Ana...yes..."

Ana had loved watching the way Chance responded to her touch and gentle teasing. At his suggestion that she should wash his chest she smiled and dipped her hands back down below the waterline for a moment before sliding them slowly back up his torso and over his chest, caressing and 'washing' his skin.

She had not thought about how quickly the tides could be turned on her however, and as he commented on her nipple and then brought it to his mouth she could not help but gasp sharply in surprise and delight as he swirled his around it. She moaned softly, feeling him move her slightly and the head of his cock pressing into her entrance once more.

"Oh yes, Chance... please...." she breathed.

Her right hand reached down between them and helped to guide him back into her as he began to slowly pull her down on him, the feel of them joining again causing her eyes to shut and her head to tilt back with another moan. Her left hand rested against his chest, fingers curling against his warm and water slicked skin.

The sensations he was feeling throughout his body were the most intense he'd ever had. The subtle touch of Ana taking hold of him ellicited a groan of satisfaction which was only followed by the explosion of desire he felt not more than a second later. Once he was completely inside her, Chance began to slowly move, rocking his hips just enough to push into her. He'd started this, he'd wanted this but he also wanted Ana to be in control of the rhythm of how fast she wanted him.

He kissed her in waves, smiling as he'd break the kiss look at her beautiful face and the expressions which washed over her. His hands cupped her breasts, his thumbs finding each nipple and caressing them gently. Washing each other could wait... They needed this. They needed each other...

As Chance slid completely into her and began to move slowly, Ana moaned out softly again with pleasure as she released her hold around him with her right hand. Slowly she slid her hand up his left rib cage as she opened her eyes and began to rock against him. She eagerly leaned into his kisses as his lips found hers, her mouth making a small 'O' again with a soft gasp as his thumbs began to caress her rosy nipples, already sensitive and hardened from her arousal and from the energizing properties of the water that seemed to heighten her senses.

She quickly caught on to the fact that in this new position she would be the one to set the pace of their lovemaking, and so she lifted herself up on her knees slightly. Slowly she raised herself up off of him a bit before lowering herself down again with a moan, beginning to ease him in and out of her.

His hands immediately found her hips, as the intensity of being inside Ana grew with motion she made, every adjustment of her hips and each thrust down on his cock made Chance groan in pleasure. He urged her on, his hands slowly grasping her ass pulling her down on to him. They were not on her hips to guide her, his hands wanted to caress her, assure her that what she was doing was SO right. He desired her with every breath he took, and their rhythm was amazing, not too fast, but fast enough to keep the intensity of their lovemaking an amazing highly intense experience.

YES...yes.. gods yes Ana... you feel so amazing..."

The water seemed to only accentuate their lovemaking, the magical properties of the water made their actions far more intense, and Chance got more vocal than he thought capable of. He WANTED this woman, with every fiber of his being. He'd last as long as she did, he knew he could, he wanted her to experience her orgasm before him...

Chance kissed her then, his arms gathering her close as he sat nearly upright. "Cum for me Ana...I need you to cum for me..."

Ana's hands had moved to grip the tops of Chance's shoulders to help balance herself as she rode him, his hands caressing over her hips and ass and his passion filled words encouraging her on as she kept up the rhythm of their lovemaking and making the flames of her own desire burn even more brightly.

She was lost in the sensation of him, the sound of his voice, the feel of his hands upon her skin. Her own breaths, gasps, and moans rose up and grew louder as well, echoing off of the rock faces around the stream. When he kissed her and pulled her close she moaned against his lips in response, loving the feel of his arms wrapped around her and his body pressed against her own as she rocked against him.

"Cum for me Ana...I need you to cum for me..."

She felt a shiver run through her in response to his words. His words only pushed her even further towards the edge than she already was, and she could only manage a slight nod in response as her movements became more desperate as she instinctively rocked and ground against him in search of her release.

"Oh gods Chance... yes... YES!"

She moaned as she felt her body tremble then stiffen and arch against him as she crested over the hill and went spiraling down into her orgasm, her eyes squeezing shut and her head falling back as her core spasmed and clenched around the satisfying fullness of his cock buried deep inside of her.

His arms gently held Ana as her orgasm over took her. He wanted to let her enjoy the climax, let it flow through her with no restraint.. The physical trembling of her orgasm washed over him like a tidlewave, the current pulling him to the edge of his own climax. Despite every ounce of his soul wanting to, he wanted to let her have this moment on to herself, and carefully bring her down and then he couldn't hold out. Ana was pulling him over the edge... and he was happy to go right along with her.

As his own climax hit him, and his muscles tightened while he began to pulse and fill Ana, he could feel the warmth of their co-mingled juices wash down upon his hips. The steady stream of water pulled it away from them, washing them both nearly clean.

His hands had stayed on her hips, holding her down on him but they slipped, as she shook, and with Ana throwing herself back, he nearly lost her into the water.

Chance refused to let go... just as she was about to hit the water He gathered Ana in his arms, pulled her close, tighter than he probably should.

After a few moments of hearing her breathing come back under control Chance whispered,

"I am not letting you go Ana, the world may come apart around us.. waters might try to pull your from me but I won't ever let go..."

Chance smiled as he kissed her, then lightly laughed joyously.

Caught up in the bliss of her release Ana had allowed herself to lean a little too far back and had felt herself slip away from Chance, but just before she was about to tip back into the water Chance gathered her up into his arms again, only the ends of her long strands of hair getting wet instead. She could feel the droplets trickling down her back as he held her tightly while she gradually regained her breath and wrapped her arms around him in return.

"I am not letting you go Ana, the world may come apart around us.. waters might try to pull your from me but I won't ever let go..."

Ana felt a tingle run down her spine in response to his words and she gripped him more tightly as he kissed her. When he laughed she felt a smile spreading across her own lips at the sound.

"I'm not going anywhere, Chance," she assured him softly.

She smiled at him as she moved her hands to caress up his sides and around to his back, her hands lovingly moving across the skin there as she let her head dip and rest against his shoulder as she placed a kiss at the base of his neck.

To answer her words of reassurance, Chance just nodded and caressed her back as she rested against him. he'd loosened his hold on her, let her melt into him as they both regained their strength.

Chance took a deep breath, feeling Ana in his arms made him feel like they could stop time, and just be. How tough would it be to just fuck it all and escape the tunnels and find someplace they could escape to. It had an appeal for all of about 30 seconds. Realizing how many people were counting on them without really knowing it, put a weight on him.

The weight wasn't unusual, it was one he was frankly quite comfortable with and had become used to. Almost like putting a well-loved, well lived-in shirt. He just assumed the weight and carried it. Now, however, he knew there was someone else who shared the same burden, and for that reason alone, the weight didn't feel anywhere near as heavy anymore.

After a good 10 minutes of just holding Ana, Chance broke them out of their quiet rest. They'd been in the water long enough to have washed away any traces of their latest lovemaking, so he helped Ana to her feet while getting up himself, and walked back to where they'd left their clothes. Taking a look over everything he made sure all was in order, they'd been distracted enough by each other, a pack of wolves could have wondered into the glen and hunted after them with little problem. Or, someone could have been spying on them from a distance and he'd never known it. Thankfully though everything was right where they'd left it.

As they were getting dressed, Chance prevented Ana from getting fully clothed before he did by holding on to her green tunic as she put her pants back on. He'd stolen a few kisses, while he held it ransom, even shamefully nearly trying to get her naked again by kissing her chest, seeking out her nipples. When he finally did give up her tunic under threat of bodily injury, Chance audibly and playfully groaned as she covered up. Resigned to the fact that their play time was over, at least for now he helped make sure Ana had everything, then lead the way out of the glen.

The only other way out of the glen was a short staircase carved into the rock, which leads to an established tunnel. The level steps and the notches carved into the rock wall for torches convinced him that at one time this place had been used by both their ancestors. At the top of the stairs, just before entering the tunnel, Chance took one more long look back at the pristine beauty they were leaving behind. His thoughts of staying there crept back into his mind for a fleeting second, followed only by grasping Ana's hand, squeezing it once and turning toward the darkness, and what awaited them farther below. Looking into Ana's Violet eyes, Chance commented on where they were going,

"We should be halfway to the castle tonight, there's another portal through the caves where we can camp the night. till then we'll have to move swiftly."

reaching into his bag he pulled out his book, looked at the map and went over it with Ana, then lead the way.

Ana had been unable to stop the smile that spread across her face in response to Chance's groan as she'd finally got her tunic from him so that she could cover up and finished getting dressed. Truth be told she was just as disappointed to have the moment end as he was. She could have happily spent an eternity with him just basking in the peaceful surroundings of the glen and making love to him in the sunshine, and then later beneath the stars as well, but she knew that was impossible. The fate of both of their kingdoms was resting upon their shoulders and time was a luxury that they could not afford at the moment, especially since they had already used up so much of it that morning.

Having gathered up her things, she'd followed him up the staircase leading out of the glen and paused with him to give the view one last look. As she did she took in the scent of the flowers growing in the field, the sound of the magical stream flowing through the rocks, her eyes settling on the little grove of trees where they had first made love. Like him she was hesitant to leave it all, and she was grateful when he took her hand and gave it a squeeze. Squeezing his back, she turned towards the tunnel with him and listened as he explained where they would be going. She nodded her understanding and then looked over the map with him before they both began their way down the tunnel.

As they made their way further into the tunnel and the light grew dimmer, she found the light stone he had given her the day before that she'd kept attached to her belt and adjusted it so that it would illuminate her path. She also double checked her weapons, making sure they were securely fastened and within easy reach should she need them.

"Have you encountered any trouble spots when traveling this section of the tunnels before?" she asked him as she slipped her hand back into his, curious to know if there were any specific dangers she should be keeping an ear out for other than the worms and spiders they'd already encountered.

"Any giant vampire bats or carnivorous man-eating moles I should be wary of?" she suggested with a playful smirk.

He was absent minded... seeing Ana light her stone reminded him of his staff. Taking a moment to pull it from his pack, and assemble it as they walked, Chance put a larger stone wrapped around the cord, which ran the length of the staff. Tying it, he held it aloft and looked at her with a smile.

"This high up? No, but the further down we get the more you can see that the established trails that our ancestors used to navigate through the passageways have grown... well has been given back to the world in which it was originally carved out. The last time I was down here, there was a massive hive, which blocked a path. I ended up having to burn them out, and it was a good thing I did too. I inspected a hand full of them and as it turned out, they were what we referred to as a 'blood wasp' They are annoying if you run into just one of them, but the problem is, there's never just one. They act in swarms. The little bastards are attracted to the scent of blood. if you get stung, pray you get the stinger out quick, or cover it. The scent of its stinger and your blood attract the swarm... Then you are truly screwed, as the swarm will kill you."

"I've wiped out the hives I could find, but I'm afraid of what we might find down there since the last time I was down there. I'm afraid the evil down there might have twisted some otherwise harmless creatures that would otherwise leave us alone."

His concern was real, he wasn't sure what other effects the tremors might have besides shaking lose the world around them, he was unsure of what terrors it might unleash.. as it broke out of whatever confined it.

"I suppose we'll have to just keep our eyes and ears open.."

Ana nodded her agreement with Chance's words of concern about what they may come across as they got deeper into the tunnels. With the evil that she had sensed in her vision beginning to shift and break through whatever had been restraining it all this time, there was no telling what kind of affects it would have on the creatures and terrain down below. At his comment about the trails that their ancestors had once navigated another concerning thought that she'd had came to her mind.

"Speaking of our ancestors, there's something I've been wondering about," she began hesitantly, "You've found all of this evidence down here of elves and humans having once lived in harmony with one another, and about the great evil that was being held down here. You've even found evidence of it in your own people's old stories and ancient written records..."

She looked over at him as they walked together, her eyes seeking his with a worried and confused look.

"Why would the humans have record of such things, but the elves do not? Elves live much longer than humans, so you would think it would be the other way around."

Ana's question was a valid one, and her comment actually surprised him.

"It's not just the books that I have. it's a combination of a number of things which tells me our people lived together in harmony. It took a bit of research and, well you confirming that the markings on the castle walls were indeed elven. But why your own people have either refused to document it or are hiding such documents, I don't know.

I would bet that the reasons, the documents have either been secreted away or have been destroyed is becasue they are contrary to the established opinion that humans are evil. I mean the events did happen hundreds of years go, so our books were mostly forgotten about. It took me quite a bit of time to find what I was looking for. And, finding said books is contrary to everything I was brought up to believe. I can only imagine that if your father the king knows about them they are hidden from view.

Speaking for myself, we've been taught from a young age to hate elves, that they are the reason why we live safely underground because the world above could tell you our secrets. That nothing is safe above the surface. Of course, the older you get the more it's acknowledged that those reasons are not exactly true. But more commonly other events have happened which have just made matters worse. subtle attacks, venturing groups looking for resources. I remember before I left there was a deer that was hunted and killed, only to find out it was protected by the elven kingdom. It had strayed into grazing fields above the main citidel.. far from where it should've been."

They'd been walking for a while, and holding her hand became second nature, it was comfortable. When she'd first taken his hand he didn't say anything, simply taken her hand in his and enjoyed the light feeling that came from a simple yet caring touch. Chance thought of something, something important, it was probably rediculous to tell her but he felt he should say it. He was looking down at his feet, staring at the sands and dirt floor of the caverns. He noticed something then, and stopped in his tracks.

in a voice just above a whisper, Chance spoke into her ear, as he pulled Ana close to him. "Those chaotic scratches are from young cave spiders, much like what we saw back in the mine. Do you hear anything???"

Ana had listened to Chance's theories with great interest. She'd been told during her schooling as a child that elves usually lived about two to three times longer than the average human did, assuming that the elf did not become sick or injured and die before their time of course, so even though the events had been so long ago it was hard for her to believe that such information could have simply been forgotten by the royal family and the elders who would have been the keepers of such records.

She agreed with Chance that the only options then were that the information had intentionally been hidden or destroyed, but why? Had her father known about it, and if so why had he kept it from her even after she had come to him about her visions? Her father was not a tyrannical and blood-thirsty ruler. She had a hard time believing that he would lie just to make humans seem evil so that they could continue a centuries long feud between their kingdoms for no reason... so was there something else?

Noticing the way Chance looked down at the ground and then suddenly stopped, Ana stopped as well. He pulled her close and spoke softly into her ear, his words causing her eyes to widen for a moment before darting down to the ground and noticing the scratches he'd spoken of. She followed the markings in the dirt with her eyes as they lead off down the tunnel before them and into the darkness up ahead.

Closing her eyes she listened carefully for a moment, trying to ignore the closer sounds of Chance's heartbeat and breathing as he stood with her and searching instead for the sound that she remembered the spiders they'd encountered before in the mines making. She frowned then, opening her eyes to look at him again and giving him a nod.

"Yes, I can hear a few of them moving around a ways ahead further down the tunnel," she confirmed.

"Sounds like five...," she paused and listened again, "No, seven of them I'd say."

"Seven?" Chance whispered, he could feel his heart rate increase, he didn't like this not one bit.

"There's a bridge up ahead, the depth I've never researched but the bridge was built probably about the same time as this passage was carved out." Their light was probably what was preventing them from getting too close, and what was probably attracting them.

He thought for a moment, considered tossing another vial of liquid fire in their direction but it might attract more attention than he wanted.

"Ideas? We could quench the light, let them come to us and surprise them? Your eyes would be our guide, when they get close enough, we could light things up, and make them better targets.. Or... You could use that bow of yours, and see if you can take a few out before they come for us. Thing is, once we reach the bridge we're exposed, they could attack from all sides..."

No course of action was going to be safe, but drawing them in to the tunnel might be a better solution, seven versus 2 were not good odds, but he'd take those odds with Ana by his side.

"What do you think Ana?"

Listening as intently as she was, Ana could not help but notice the increase in Chance's heart rate and she felt her own nervously pick up a bit in response. When he mentioned the bridge up ahead she realized why he was worried. Not only were they outnumbered, but they could very well be walking into an ambush.

"No, I don't think waiting until the bridge is a good idea either," she agreed after listening to his ideas.

She frowned, thinking for a moment.

"I should definitely try to take out a few with my bow first, even out our odds a bit more," she told him, "It might make them scatter or fall back in response, but then at least we'd still have less of them to deal with when we get to the bridge. Of course we could also try doing something else to draw them back in if that happens, but hopefully we won't need to."

Chance nodded,

"Ok, Ana, since I can't see them, I'll have to create enough of a distraction to pull them in.. Just... when I do.. don't shoot me. Ok?" Chance thought for a moment then pulled his sword. "Just tell me how far ahead the first one is." Once Ana had given him the distance. He stood his staff against the wall and knelt down. At a slow crouch, he crept forward nearly into the darkness. At the edge of light, He found some cover, the tunnel walls were not perfectly smooth but rough, and at times with pockets one could squeeze into. Finding a spot, which he could hide within Chance picked up a hand full of small rocks and lobbed a few as far down the tunnel into the darkness that he could. Chance quickly flattened himself in spot the natural groove and waited.

The rocks hit walls, then something hard, and skittered to the cave floor. The skitter of arachnid legs across the cave floor followed not long after. The sounds grew louder, and when he thought they were no more than five, maybe ten feet away, he pulled one of the remaining vials of fire water from a pocket on his belt and lobbed it into the center hoping for the third spider. tossing it at the 3rd spider. He heard the vial hit, but it didn't break, it bounced, off and rolled onto the cavern floor. The first spider its massive body taking up nearly a third of the tunnel floor passed him in his hiding spot before the vial rolled to the floor. Realizing the danger and the failure of his plan Chance yelled,

"Oh shit!.. FIRE ANA!"

Quickly Chance pulled another and tossed it in the air, hitting the vial with the edge of his sword. It broke, splashing his sword and the second spider as it grew within a foot of him.
e first was already beyond him. With his sword fully lit a flame he screamed and attacked. What started out as a simple plan of drawing them in and closing off their way out became now, a test of how many they could kill before having to fall back, or being over run.

It had been a long long time since he'd been in such a bad place... but he had to fight through.. get to that vial and use it.

Ana watched with bated breath as Chance slowly made his way closer and closer towards the dark void ahead of them in the tunnel. She didn't like him having to put himself at risk like this to cause a distraction, but unfortunately at the moment they didn't seem to have any other choice. As he found a spot to hide and slipped into it she readied her bow and retrieved an arrow from the quiver at her back so that she would be ready when the time came. Then she was still, silently watching and listening for the movements of the spiders and waiting for Chance to make is move.

She watched as he tossed something into the darkness and heard the sound of pebbles scattering across the ground, then the shuffling of many legs scraping through the dirt. She forced her breath to steady, even as her heart beat harder in response. She saw him throw something else then, heard it bounce off of something and then just roll over the ground. At the same time she saw the first massive spider creep out from the pitch black void and make its way past Chance's hiding spot.

"Oh shit!.. FIRE ANA!"

Her eyes widened in alarm. Something must have gone wrong. She saw Chance throw another item into the air and realized at he hit it with his sword and a blaze erupted that it had been more fire water. As he charged at the second spider she quickly drew back her arrow and aimed it at one of the many sparkling eyes of the first as it continued down the tunnel towards her, the flames dancing off of his blade and the second spider illuminating it clearly to her view. Releasing the arrow, it raced through the air and hit its mark, the large beast releasing a cry as the arrow pierced its brain through the eye socket and it fell to the ground dead.

She wanted to help Chance, but also didn't want to risk hitting him by mistake as he attacked the second spider, so instead she set her eyes on the third that was quickly approaching.

"I'll cover you!!" she shouted to him, drawing another arrow and firing it in one graceful, fluid motion.

Screaming in anger, Chance waved his sword within inches of the second spider as it recoiled from the searing white flame. Pissed off It attacked anyway, trying to bite him in half, or stab him with it's pointed legs. Chance was fast enough to dodge and stab into the side of it's head twisting the blade as it screamed and fell to ground. Thick black viscus fluid poured out of it's head, pooling around the head of the body. The spider smelled of rot, death and decay, everything that spelled out evil and something that intended to devour the world.

As Chance heard Ana call behind him, he nodded quickly and watched her second arrow find it's target in the head of the 3rd spider, sending it to the floor in a heap. Dusk kicked up as it collapsed, covering the vail, or at least from Chance's view it was now hidden under it's massive body. If the vial broke, exposed to air it would light anything it touched a fire so Chance was sure the vial was still intact where ever it was. From where he stood, Chance had no choice but to climb up on top of the third spider and attempt to see if Ana was right on the numbers. Holding his flaming weapon aloft he could see farther down the tunnel than he'd previously been able to. Ana was right, seven.. and the remaining four were gathered around the exit of the tunnel just in front of the bridge. One spider started off toward Chance faster than the others, quickly crawling across the tunnel floor toward Chance. The second, third and fourth of this group climbed together up the walls. In a group they headed toward Chance and his the flame over his head, a beacon, a target, they intended to have a little snack of him. The sight before him was terrifying, seeing these massive spiders climbing the walls headed straight toward him. It didn't give him a warm fuzzy feeling.

Quickly, Chance looked around the body of the third spider, trying to see where the vial had spiraled off to. Then he spotted it. Twenty feet away, between him and the oncoming fourth spider. When Ana's latest victim died, the impact against the ground must have thrown the vial free.

"I FOUND IT! KEEP THEM OFF ME!"

Jumping down he sprinted after it, Grasping the vial he threw it hard, aiming for spiders against the ceiling.

Ana didn't have a very clear view down the tunnel due to the three large, dead spiders that were now obscuring her view, but she could hear the movements of the four remaining ones clearly as they began to make their way towards them from the end of the tunnel. She quickly began to make her way towards Chance in response, even before she'd heard his cry.

"I FOUND IT! KEEP THEM OFF ME!"

"GOT IT!" she shouted back at him as she jumped up, her feet as swift and sure footed as a doe's, and took his place perched atop the dead spider as he leapt down and ran for the vial.

Unfortunately while he was running towards the vial, the spider crawling across the tunnel floor was also swiftly moving towards him as well. Swearing beneath her breath in alarm, Ana quickly retrieved another arrow and aimed it at the beast just as Chance threw the vial at the three coming towards him from the ceiling, the vial breaking and blazing white flames illuminating them from above as she released the arrow and it flew through the air towards its mark.

The vial exploded...on impact, white searing light filled the cave, the center-most spider burst into flames and screamed. its brethren were hit by splashes, the flaming spider spun and retreated, touching the others, searing them lighting them aflame without the slightest touch. All three retreated, but didn't make it, each one dying and falling to the tunnel floor successively in one massive pile...

Their remaining brother would not go out in the same way... The fletching of Ana's arrow cut across Chance's cheek, the impact did not alter its course, the Arrow sunk deep into the spider just as it rose to stab at Chance with its forward legs. The loud wet "THUNK" of the arrow stopped it cold as it immediately fell crashing to the tunnel floor.

He looked around at the solid ground, was it rock, was it dirt? he wasn't sure but he didn't want to stay here and find out. if what he thought might come through the floor. Looking back at Ana from her perch on top of their dead foe, he waved her on.

"ANA! Grab my staff and hurry! We've gotta get out of here!"

Ana felt herself let out a breath that she had not realized she'd been holding in as she watched the spider that had been about to strike at Chance slump and fall over dead, the other three that had been about to attack them burning in a heap further down the tunnel thanks to his vial of fire water. There was no time to celebrate the victory at the moment however as Chance was already shouting at her to keep moving.

Giving him a quick nod in reply, she hopped down off of the spider and hurriedly made her way back over to Chance's staff. No sooner had she reached it however when she suddenly froze, her head cocking to the side for a moment and her gaze shifting to the ground as she caught the sound of something. Her eyes going wide, all at once she realized what the sound must be and why Chance was in such a rush to get out of the tunnel. Quickly she snatched up the staff and began to run back towards him.

"Get away from the spider! The blood!" she shouted out in warning as she heard the noise growing nearer beneath them.
