While going through my stories today I found a comment left on Chapter 5 of We're A Wonderful Wife

Let me preference this by saying that I've never considered myself a romance writer, I've always considered my self a hard SF writer, a fantasy writer or a humorist, but much of the stuff I write here has a softer tone. Today Mr. Anonymous left this comment for me

In todays world there is not enough love of and between our fellow humans! Small minds are becoming more vocal and drowning out common sense! We can only hope more love and success stories will gain the upper hand! Thank you for bestowing on myself and your other readers a heartfelt success story that through hard work and determination shows we can learn of our own shortcomings and hopefully open our eyes to a whole world of harmony WE HOPE!!

Thank you ! Loved it

I think Mr. Anonymous should be writing here too

It's always nice to see that a story has touched someone enough to want to leave a heartfelt comment like this.

There is a hungry audience to be served for these sorts of stories. There exists a sweet spot between turn-on fan service and cotton candy sweet romance.

Odd golden rule erotica (which should be boringly ubiquitous) inspires such comments but it's a cool reminder characters being good and good to one another can spark emotion in readers.

Yes, it goes against the notion that one must always have antagonists and conflict to make a story work whereas (and possibly more often) readers want the opposite. No harm in kindness.

I've explored more antagonistic situations over mustache stoking villains. I dig authors going for more ethereal obstacles or internal pathologies causing them to constantly get in their own way.

Bad (relationship) timing can be fun to play with as well.

Characters finding a clever way to fight shadows is fairly unique around here.

Just in a world swallowed by the stench of bĂŞtise, wit is a refreshing rose
